Love this - thanks for posting. My Dad's family are from the Orkneys - My Mother's from Selkirk. I'm Irish born and bred from Cork ( Ireland's Rebel county)...I would never consider myself anything other than Irish, but Scotland has a hold on me that I can't and don't want to ever shake off. I'm very proud of my heritage and though religion has played it's part in my Grandparent's time, I can honestly say that both countries are uniquely wonderful. People are people, but I think I'm lucky.
