Too many swings with the likes of Viktor, Tom "Durrrrr" and Ivey. Poker is definately a gamblers game but i just can't see how they could live with such gigantic swings in both directions. The highs are great but the lows must be horrible, i wonder if they ever reverted back to grinding it out sometimes when things got bad on their way to the top.

Isildur is 3 betting a button open oop with a super wide and somewhat depolarized range, he will c bet that flop 100% and the turn is a card he likely double barrels with a ton of his air, plus draws, all fds, all 3x combos 7x combos, I think he probs check/folds a high a lot on the turn, so when he gets to the river, whilst he is somewhat depolarised he does this with all his air and has way more combos of air than hands he actually reps. Probs more levels/reads I obvs aint aware of but w/e.

isildur thought ciao would raise the turn with a set or 2 pair ciao knew that isildur knew this so overbetting the river to get value from worse would be a bad idea cos in isildurs eyes the only hand ciao can have that can call is AQ to the overbet and he has to fold everything else like QK JQ Q10 all pair+ draws so ciao saw the overbet as a bluff a because it didnt make sence for value since the majority of ciaos range is marginal hands. isil could of been turning a better hand into a bluff tho
lisildur1 could have won this hand if he played it slightly differently.
Pre Flop Raise was good- then he should check - insta raise. If he calls- slow roll- then bet 17 k - betting 6 k then insta 17 k made caio a bit suspicion. The all in was a very professional move giving the line- 1suldur was spot on with his read- but just playing it a bit too quick.

@bomberboi200 Poker is going to be killed one day because everyone is overanalysing the game. Nowadays if someone makes a winning, yet somewhat spewy call, he didn't make a good call, but "a call that's gonna lose him money in the long run".
What would happen to the game if everyone would play like that...? "I got a feeling you're bluffing, but i'll just give up... i'm not getting the right odds for how often you're bluffing here".

Haha, it's the Hellmuth-ification of poker. Hellmuth is a master at losing a hand & consequently over-analyzing the opponent that beat him. The point of the game is to win, not to loose by making an 'analytically correct' play. People who play 'analytically sound' poker forget the human factor that motivates their opponents, which is that everyone has the desire to win by whatever means necessary, even if it involves taking absurd risks. Poker isn't chess -- it's chess on steroids.

isildur thought ciao would raise the turn with a set or 2 pair ciao knew that isildur knew this so overbetting the river to get value from worse would be a bad idea cos in isildurs eyes the only hand ciao can have that can call is AQ to the overbet and he has to fold everything else like QK JQ Q10 all pair+ draws so ciao saw the overbet as a bluff a because it didnt make sence for value since the majority of ciaos range is marginal hands. isil could of been turning a better hand into a bluff tho

lisildur1 could have won this hand if he played it slightly differently.
Pre Flop Raise was good- then he should check - insta raise. If he calls- slow roll- then bet 17 k - betting 6 k then insta 17 k made caio a bit suspicion. The all in was a very professional move giving the line- 1suldur was spot on with his read- but just playing it a bit too quick.
