Oh my gosh! That was SO GREAT! I just love Alan. What a saint. But I can't blame Monica either for being a mess either! They both played their roles to perfection! I want my ALAMONI BACK!!

Poor Alan, he really can't win. But it is true Alan and Monica fashion to lash out at each other when they each are hurting so terribly. This was AMAZING writing - it truly explored the depths of emotions these two were struggling with. And Monica's reaction to her disease was so very "monica" - she hates to be out of control and hates the fact that she needs help and support. Alan is sruggling with his own desperate fear and his longing help Monica in any way possible.

ITA Debbie...seeing this makes me wish they'd take this into consideration when addressing Monica's rehab from drinking.

Also, don't you just love how AJ is so protective of his mom...Sean Kanan was a good AJ.
