  • porque no le chupa el pene de una buena vez

  • this is helpful but i am having such great difficulty understanding the accents. I am studying for my OSCE too and i suggest that maybe next time, adding captions might be helpful thank you

  • The Medical Student is Buster from Arrested Development???

  • You can also follow up with a formal perineal exam, to asses for any hernias or atrophic changes of the testes (seen in chronic alcoholism for example).

  • @pipokz thats really not necessary but if the bladder is full it might obscure the bowel sounds cos the bladder is anterior to the peritoneum and extends to reach the xiphisternum if fully distended

  • he missed out the fluid thrill....it's done before the shifting dullness

  • @medaf29

    I don't think so, fluid thrill +ve only if there's > 1 liter of fluid inside !

  • @jd1iraq yes u r ryt....fluid thrill is only done when the abdomen is overly distended

  • This isn't bad but during the examination the doctor has to auscultate before he/she palpates the abdomen. The doctor does this because if there is an aortic aneurysm then you can listen to the bruit in the aorta and prevent from palpating it. If you end up palpating an aortic aneurysm then the doctor could rupture the patient aorta and cause a fatal hemorrhage.

  • i think patient should lie flat with one pillow

  • good examination but he didn't perform percussion to determine the upper border of the liver and he didn't comment on liver span,

  • Very thorough although he should be watching the pt's face when palapting to check for signs of pain/tenderness

  • this is a good video... I have a test tomorrow and it's good to review before the test.. thanks

  • auscultation must be done first in order to prevent any palpation from affecting bowel activity and sounds. Also, knees must be bent during an abdominal examination

  • That patient is also the doctor in another clip.

  • do i need to check the hernial orrifices in an abdominal exam???

  • Isn't the patient the doctor who does the neurological exam in the other video?

  • @sammycut1 Yeah I think they switch off being patient and doctor. All of them are students.

  • great

  • we have to do auscultaion first

  • What?! Nobody commented on the guy's chest hair??

  • @buddmar I know! As soon as I saw the thumbnail for this video I immediately thought, "I wonder how many comments there are about that man's chest hair?"

  • That was really helpful. Thank you.

  • Excellent - really good for review before my assessment
