  • He's white!?

  • they really stood up to their name AHEAD OF THEIR TIMEbox =)

  • Put your little hands in me baby - I swear that's what Mike sings at the end...!

  • Well there all you Brits, This is one Yank that is preasantly surprized @ the quality of this version! Being used to the American version all these years! I've been listening to R&R since before it was Dubbed that by Mr. Freed! These guys were good and some how I missed them throughout the years! Oddly when moving from song to song I thought the man in the pic was Eric Burdon and went back to have a listen. Glad I took the chance! The "British Invation" was Great! Glad y'all r on our side! L8r.

  • french tv nice restoration!

  • I'm fifty -eight years old. In '68 I've seem them at the Sudbury (?) R&B Festival. I don't remember the music much, but I remember what Mike Patto said to the rockers, who were only there to hear Jerry Lee Lewis perform.

  • Still filling the dancefloors

  • Have just become a huge Timebox fan..so thanks for posting this....

  • Southports finest!!!!

  • There's Also an video of them doing Come On Up on You Tube, same TV show I asume. Also Great.

  • Great video clip. Mike was my brother, sadly he and Ollie are no longer with us. They were a great band, and went on to become PATTO, who were even better.

  • So i'm looking for clips from Bouton Rouge that I don't have and I decide to take a break and look and see if any video on Timebox exists, DOUBLE SCORE!

  • Wow, I love this. Timebox's version is my favorite. I used to have it on 45 in 1968 and it was my favorite song :) Thank you for posting this live version.

  • Wow, finally!!

  • My favourite band, one of the best songs they released and it's live, you've made my day, put all the Timebox stuff you've got up please, I am their biggest fan, as everyone said in the 60s they were terminally hip! Vive la Timebox! Immense Love and thanks, Julie!

  • @jsbach15.... great point about Mike's voice, it's so clear and true, like you say - they aren't "hiding" behind voice enhancers and miming or any other gimmicks - it's all from the heart and played for real. Loving it! Has ClassicRock posted the other footage yet? cheers

  • @highschoolmusical841 - absolutely, you're spot on, they're all superb musicians and music doesn't get much better than this does it. I was just shouting up Ollie because he was from Southport, not far from where I live..... and, how many guitar players can handle a vibraphone into the bargain as well! Cheers

  • J'étais présent ce samedi après midi sur le plateau TV des Buttes Chaumont à Paris comme chaque samedi pour l'émission Bouton Rouge avec ce jour là au même programme "The Yardbirds" avec Jimmy Page comme soliste.

    Fantastique souvenir !!!!

  • WOW thanks so much for uploading this , my dad is the drummer and there is very little footage of timebox or patto so i can't thank you enough.... If there is any more footage i'd love to see it so please please please upload it...

  • @ruperthalsey wow, tell your dad, from me,Timebox most definately had SOUL!!! They are one of my fave bands from the 60's!!

  • @ruperthalsey Tell you Dad that he was FAB! What a marvelous treat! I have a family member whose a professional drummer. The pros make it look all too easy when they play but there is a great deal of talent behind those sticks! Wonderful memories. Love from the States!

  • @ClassicRockVideo - there's more! Amazing! Look forward to the pending upload, cheers!

  • Thank The Lord For You Tube!

  • my father missed this song

  • Swag 2:06

  • The bassist is one cool dude; pure magic!

  • Great! Thanks so much for posting this. I saw them at the Cliffs Pavilion, Southend around this time. Incredible live band in those days and Patto later!

  • As we say in Liverpool - real musos; we'll always remember Ollie as a true artist. Messers Valli and the 4 seasons did the orig but this is so unbelievable to see, I never knew there was any film of Timebox!!!! and such good quality - It's as if it's a dream! Thank you!!

  • @musicplateau1 there is more from this session, will upload soon!

  • @musicplateau1 I like the fact that Mike Patto and the other members are actually singing/playing the music instead of overdubs and over-processing of these talented men; Mike's voice is so clear without any fancy enhancement gimmicks!

  • @musicplateau1 Never heard of Timebox or this version. Nicely done!

  • Thanks so much for uploading this! Really cool footage :)

  • Live version for legendary Cult French TV program... "Bouton Rouge" (that hosted people like the Electric Prunes, early Pink Floyd and SF Sorrow era Pretty Things!!!

  • It is amazing how they managed to recreate the sound of the single witout any orchestration, fantastic sound from a 5 piece band, the sound of the hammond and vibes together give real depth. Great fresh sound !

  • Barry Wom on drums!!!! Haha

  • Where on earth did you find this!? You've made my year. Amazing, one of the few covers that's better than the original. It hasn't been bettered since either. Years ahead of their time and deserved much greater success. Truly awesome. Thanks.

  • @goldenell we must thank the French TV archives for holding on to their tapes!

  • WOW!!!!
