i think most people aspire to look like popular celebrities rather than models. And thankfully many popular celebs like Kim Kardashian are a healthy weight. & celeb guys tend to get their body from working out. Its a positive message really! :) Unless u look at fashion shows or come across adverts for clothing brand, models are not really that visible.

I think that it is almost ironic that for years, women have asked to be treated more like how men are treated.....and now both genders are being made to feel self conscious and are having unsafe eating disorders. By the way, you do not look overweight from what I see, and do not need to starve yourself. It's also worth noting many male models have a decent muscle build (not excessive), are not anorexic looking, and are quite attractive. You don't need to be anorexic to be attractive either.

Skinnies, leggings, jackets. The obsession with health is a huge force in the advancement of male models. Sometimes the bulkier figures look disgusting, and as mens clothing becomes more and more androgynous more svelte figures are needed. But thats just what I think.
