  • It looks like Hawk was on that special diet - steroids for breakfast, steroids for lunch, and then a sensible dinner :)

  • all work and no play keeps all the pain in the gym flow away

  • I remember that match.During the match it looked like Bobby Eaton was really scared to death of heights.

  • where's Rocco?

  • i'll never forget this commercial. watching nwa back then on tbs (i lived in fayetteville, nc back then) was truly a pleasure. this promo stayed with me for weeks after watchig it, great upload!

    eric b

  • That was 315 animal was tossing up like that.up right rows! didnt show what hawk was benching.

  • I remember watching this and thinking that the special effects they used were sooooooooo cool. Of course I was like 9. In my list of top 20 tag teams I put Midnight Express (Stan Lane) as 1 and Road Warriors as 2 because of the best out of 5 match which was what I was looking for when I found this. Does anybody remember that match?

  • @detchuck They were THE most popular Tag Team in wrestling history.

  • OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

    WWWHHAAATARUSHHHHHH

  • It's funny that they claimed they were from Chicago, but actually grew up in my great home state of Minnesota.

  • @hulkyone Wrestlers and celebrities always do that kind of stuff. Chicago has a reputation for being a tougher town so I guess they thought it would be a good idea. Just like Hulk Hogan said he was from Venice, CA where Muscle Beach is located. In reality, he's from Tampa, FL. I guess it makes more sense for a guy calling himself Hulk with bleached blond hair and flexing his muscles to be from California. lol

  • Best Wrestling Tag-Team EVER!!

  • road warriors RULED !!!

  • wow this is pretty cool! oldschool

  • Great stuff. I remember it like it was yesterday. The scaffold match was surprisingly good as well. NWA/WCW 4-EVER!!!

  • @danteras23 I know that was the one where Cornette busted both of his knees falling from the scaffold (Big Bubba was supposed to catch him, but he had his shades on and misjudged where Cornette fell).

  • This was classic! Seeing them in the gym without the facepaint leading to the promo!

  • I thought the Midnight Express were gonna die during this match after hearing this promo. They knew how to hype up a big match!

  • I remember this promo like yesterday.

  • This was the best promo ever!

  • I still can't think of better background music for LOD than Black Sabbath's "Iron Man" - cuz that's exactly what they were!!!!

    RIP Hawk

  • @presto35 For them it was absolutely PERFECT!!!!!

  • I so wanted to climb a scaffold and toss pumpkins after this video!

  • There has to this day NEVER been a tag team that had the pops of the LOD and i am thinking never will. DX came close but they had to have a group!

  • You might be right. But for a while The Outsiders used to get a big pop.

  • One of my all time favorite promos.

I loved the Midnight Express though

  • The Road Warriors were two bad ass mother fuckers in these days!!!

  • Think they'd throw these 2 out of Planet fatness lol

  • The funny thing was they only did 3 scaffold maches in nwa-wcw history the road warrior -me match RnR vs ME and Pn news and Bobby eaton vs terry Taylor and some one else where u capture the other persons flag

  • they did more at house shows but those 3 were the only ones shown on television or ppv

  • When the Great American Bash on Tour came to Macon, GA, the Road Warriors had a scaffold match against Ivan Koloff and the Russian Assassin. That may have been in 1988. I still have my program from that night!

  • Road Warriors best team !

  • @hardtime3000 Terry Taylor teamed with Steve Austin.

  • That was cool.

    I saw the match but I don't remember a surprise (0:52)?

  • I AGREE with all these comments This is what wrestling is about. I hope it will turn around. This was great, twenty years ago.

  • this is insanely cool. fucking iron man!!!!!! yowza

  • Greatest promo in history to hype up a match. Compare this to the shit they have now, they don't use catchphrases or talk for 15 minutes, they just show you what they're going to do.

I agree with the comment about the WWE. The LOD was bad, but the Road Warriors were just plain scary.

Even as a mark of the Road Warriors, this promo scared me as an 8 year old. I seriously thought someone was gonna die in that match.

  • haha! me too.

I was 8 also, and this is this was the one ppv of my early childhood that i actually remember clearly, and remember being terrified watching. Looking back it actually probably was a miracle no one died.

  • Hey, I was 8 years old too! I remember watching this promo and thinking that they will destroy the Midnight Express, and they did! The NWA was awesome! I miss those days!

  • Hey Octo,no one died but Jim Cornette did actually hurt himself seriously when he got kicked off the scaffold!! They talk about it on the Warrior tape I have!!

  • sure is :0

  • Sorry, WWE fans, but the Road Warriors were the best in the their NWA days (I didn't really see them in any other organization other than NWA and WWE.......yes, i know they were in the AWA and others, but the wrestling shows rarely got shown where I live). Hawk once said when they were having it out with the Powers of Pain before a big match, "The things we do to you will be so bad Heaven won't take us, and Hell will be afraid we're gonna take over!"

This was when wrestling was good!

  • yes indeed. i see you know your wrestling history. They were the best when they were in the nwa. I got upset when they came to the wwf, All my friends that watched them from 86-90 appreciate them more. 86-90 were the years of the nwa. the awa years were good too, but i like the nwa years better. Even the football pad spikes were better. If you are a true fan notice that the music changed fom iron man to some remixed song in the nwa later. 86, 87, 88, iron man....89, 90 the remixed version.

  • Ooooooo, what a RUSH!

  • The best tag team of all time!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is what fucking wrestling should be, not the cartoony shit we are unfortunantly fed on a weekly basis. The Road Warriors are my favorite tag team ever because of shit like this.

  • ilove this promo

  • i wish i coulda seen that

  • The LOD could do it all, wrestle, athletic, huge, and conduct some funny interviews!

  • Best tag team ever with the best intro---Black Sabbath/IronMan!!!

  • Hawk: "dis is Bobby!" Friggin' classic!

  • The Best Tag Team ever assemble The Road Warriors or Legion of Doom #1

  • You have to love any wrestling promo that's been inspired by Late Night W/David Letterman

  • They own their own gym in Minnesota.

  • I used to love thier promos.. Tell 'em Hawk!

  • this one says bobby. this one says lover boy

  • e vai con gli steroidi!!!

  • Hey moron, if you are going to call someone dumb, learn to spell you piece of garbage. The Hart Foundation were a bunch of crying bums. All Brett hart ever did was whine and cry. The other guy couldn't even talk. The LOD could cut a promo and kick some ass. Don't ever compare some mid-card tag team to the most dominate in wrestling history. But I can see you don't have the intelligence to reason.

  • I was at Starcade 86!!! I remember the scaffold match, great time. When wrestling was wresting!!!

  • I am IRON MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Man I loved the scaffold promos.

  • The most INTEMIDATING team to date. The interviews, the power move, the Ariel moves you were beaten before you even got in the ring! As a kid you look at comic book heroes and horror movies and monsters and think, I wonder what the closest you can get to that....THE ROAD WARRIORS!!

  • D72, OUTSTANDING, and I couldn't say it better myself. I would say The Most Intemidating Team EVER though. This video is the SHIT!

  • i have over 200 road warriors matches but how do you convert them to youtube? i have the heal turn match against varsity club when they turn on sting..so classic

  • No one was better

  • The greatest tag team and promo ever!!! simply awesome !!

  • i remember watching the Road Warriors dvd and animal telling the story about when hawk broke either his leg or his foot just days before the scafold match. Get the dvd its awesome and has the scafold match on it

  • leg

  • someone should up this match, its been a looooooong time since i seen it.

  • i remember watching this when i was 9 years old bad ass!!!

  • I watch this particular video...EVERY time i work out, its big RUSH!!

  • Thanks! I was at that Starcade and that match kicked ass!!!!

  • Hawk was benchin 500 fukn pounds.

  • I am shocked they trained and see them without there makeup

  • Road Warriors!! Ironman by Black Sabbath!! The Road Warriors as they should be!!

  • The greatest and most dominant tag team of all team

  • Hey Koufy!will you show the complete STARRCADE"86 tape
