  • i have a 2004 maxima and i was trying to figure out how to change the light bulb cover so instead of seeing orange i can see blue or red can u make a video and show me

  • Your unit is repairable and you could send it to us for repair or take it to any service center near you.

  • Can anyone HELP ME PLZ!!!! i have a factory bose radio on my 2005 maxima just like the one in this video. everytime i put it on cd and i hit a bump the speakers go out and when i hit another bump it goes back in. same when i accelerate hard or brake hard. ive been to best buy and nissan and they said it was broken and to buy a new one. any one help?

  • @PUNKAZZBEACH

ive had some of the same issues with my 04 with just the tweeters going out (i would just hit the side of the head unit with my hand until it gets working again) ----best buy sucks get your information from a car audio specific store/installer---- ... im trying to figure out how to put an aftermarket head unit in there... ive found the dash kit which you take the plastic panel off where the CD/Tape deck is and remove the deck and panel and install the dash kit

  • plus the guy from best buy even told me its not the best idea because once you install the after market radio non of the steering wheel buttons work so it be like a normal car from the 90s. i have been everywhere else too and they say we don't fix factory radios. so the best idea is to buy a new factory Bose radio that cost $400. i don't have the money to buy a $400 radio so the car has to stay that way until i get enough money. its been 6months already since it broke and probably reach a year.

  • @PUNKAZZBEACH

they have aftermarket head units that have a connection, and you can buy the module seperately that allows you to connect the steering wheel controls to the head unit

  • @wow1022 idk im a type of guy that likes to keep the car stock.nothings better than bose. but if you can can you tell me the specific names of the head units that can connect to the steering wheel plz.

  • @PUNKAZZBEACH

go on sonic electronix and look up Sony MEX-BT3900U

to connect the audio output from it to the current bose system get the PAC ROEM-NIS2 (amazon has the best price on this)

Steering wheel control module is linked in the description of the head unit

    it is the PAC SWI-PSv1

    compatible with nissan maximas 2001-2005

  • @PUNKAZZBEACH

people have said that when you put a quality aftermarket head unit it makes the bose system sound much better

  • @PUNKAZZBEACH

i just finished putting that head unit into my 2004 maxima.... IT IS FANTASTIC EVERYTHING IS ALL AROUND BETTER

  • @PUNKAZZBEACH

the dash kit gives you a place to put the aftermarket head unit which i believe is called a DIN... all i need to figure out is how to connect the aftermarket unit into the bose system... i think i found the specific wiring harness from sonic electronics (it says for 1995 and up nissan/infinity models and a review said it worked for the 350z bose system) if you want to know what the dash kit and wiring harnessare message me(i haven'tinstalledallthis so im notpositive)

  • @wow1022 yeah same here. i hit it when it goes off and it gets fixed but then a couple minutes later it goes off again so i don't think its an good idea to hit it. its only a temporary minute fix. been to best buy and there useless. all they say is buy a after market radio from them and they will install it but you there's nothing better than Bose!

  • You need to have your car checked out since it could be caused by radio, control panel or steering wheel control.

  • the volume on my radio keeps turning up and i dont why, its not the scv do you have any idea on what could it be

  • I have a cd stuck in the player and my subwoofers come on sometimes if I hit a bump how would I fix this

  • @diz354 Try to reset the unit by disconnecting the battery in the car. If it did not help then you need to take it to your local car audio repair shop or send it to us for repair. For the problem with your sub-woofer check speaker wiring and the speaker first and if all are fine then the amp could be faulty.

  • do not buy 04/05 maxima. faulty transmission, no recalls.

  • @Hatinonthehaters

i have an 04 with 58,000 miles, the transmission is fine

  • @wow1022 youre one of the lucky ones.

  • @Hatinonthehaters

    why do you say that?

in the grand scheme of things it isn't really that hard to do

  • Does anybody know if the 2005 maxima has a tire pressure sensor with Bose system? or does it require navigation to have it?

    thanks
