personally, I disagree; infact, I don't think there is a chance that he could be considered UNDERrated, but, this being a game of opinions, if you think so, that's fair enough.
I think it is somewhat stretching the point to consider him one of the greatest of his generation, though I guess it depends by which parameters you determine.
One of the big arguments for Totti's inferiority as a player is that he has not done anything great with Roma beyond a few Coppa Italia's and that one scudetto. So how is it that a player who has done even less at the club level is >>>>> than him? That's the objective view. The subjective view is that you have a "feeling" that Le Tissier (a GREAT player and probably the epitome of underrated-ness) was/is a better player than Totti. Very well then, I would most respectfully have to disagree.
