@sailorsaw Thanks for the compliment. I didn't have to do anything to the upper belt guard. It's pretty much plug and play. Very easy install (with the right tools). I'm very happy with the look and the ride isn't that bad. The slammed look gives the bike a whole different look.
i have the badlander seat also on my 07 dyna bob and find that every time i ride when i get off the bike my nuts have lost blood flow to them. I did not have problems with that with stock seat.Shape of the seat i guess.Your bike came out good.
@Holmseyd Thanks dude. I haven't ridden two up since I've lowered it. However, it has a few different settings where u can easily raise it up if u need too. I'm very happy with the way it looks and rides.
@applegator7771 Dude, I love it. It gives the bike a whole new look and it handles better to be honest. I guess cuz it has a lower center of gravity now. I have it at the lowest setting and I never bottomed out. I weigh about 185lbs. It rides a little stiffer than stock, but nothing to complain about.
@applegator7771 I kept the stock kickstand. Only thing is that it sits a lil more straight up with less of a leftward lean. I Just gotta be careful that I don't park on a surface that slopes to much to the right. I haven't had any problems so far.
@slpybuldog Cool thanks, overall how do ya like the set up and ride? Is it worth putting on or not really? I noticed you said in the clip that you might bottom out.
Hey Sickboy, Its a piece of cake. Just make sure u jack up the front end to take the compression off the spring. Try to use a socket that fits the end cap, it makes it easier. When u get to the last few threads of the end cap be careful, it'll pop up. It won't shoot out, just pop up, be ready for it.
i just purchased a 08 super glide custom and ordered the burley slammer kit right away aswell. I cant wait to install it. the rear is easy Im just worried about doing the front
Fat Boy Lo is a nice bike. I'd def go with some new pipes. Maybe some Vance and Hines big radius 2 into 2 in black.. Some new bars. Maybe a 6" T-Bar (Drag Bar). Good luck with it. Send me a link to your vid when you get it. Thanks for the compliment.
Hey BigFoot, thanks for the compliment. The Pipes are Vance and Hines HS Straightshots Slip-Ons. I didn't have to re-map. The air cleaner is stock Harley Davidson. Eventually I plan to put a Screaming Eagle Heavy Breather. When I do that, I'll buy a Vance and Hines Fuel Pack to re-map.
Bike looks great. Did you have to do anything to the upper belt guard to keep it from hitting the rear fender when the suspension compresses?
