i'm guessing that the wear on the vinyl was considerably less than conventional horizontal turntables. i've always wanted one of these types of jukeboxes. some day..some day. :)

Chrysler Imperial had a record player, but to my knowledge it only played 45's (you could probably get one though that played 16's and possibly other speeds)

I've got LOTS of 16s but, there's no way to play them. I recently cleaned out my Grandparents' 20-years-vacant house and found a plethera of those but, the machines in there were long from working and it wouldn't have been worth it to try and restore them.
