i cried the first time i heard this song. my brother went to Westpoint in 2004 during the peak of the middleastern wars and he was almost shipped off this past fall, right when i actually discovered HoH (better late than never). I don't have a story like Tim's gma, but it was encouragement for me knowing that both my brother and I are born again believer's in Christ's redemptive work on the cross, and I don't have to worry about him :) thanks HoH
i love you guys. this was the first song i listened to off of "The End is Not The End" and I seriously cry every single time i listen to it. you guys are so incredible. after seeing y'all live in Austin in June, you became my favorite band and i really hope you'll come back soon!
Finally, someone giving Canadians credit in the war. If it wasn't for us, The Allies never would of won either world wars. Many Americans lived because many Canadians died.
@enoching7 Well I won't deny that. I'm just saying the battle of Dieppe was the reason why the Normandy invasion was so successful. Although the Canadians were 5 miles into France before anyone else took their beaches on that day.
Well a lot of the success at Normandy is credited to the lack of order and communication between Nazi troops and their commanders. but hey, maybe Canadians had a part in it too. u guys got dieppe, we got normandy. call it a truce.
@enoching7 DEAL. but just for clarification, Dieppe happened before DDay to test invasion tactics. Everyone learned from the mistakes the brits gave us, on DDay, we captured JUNO beach.
dude who cares.. we were all allies and all assisted each other basically save the world.. thousands apon thousands of soldiers on all sides died.. have some respect.
I listened to this song three times, and I realized what they were talking about! lol it's really obvious of what it's about...the saddest lyric is 'and though I hold your hand, all must go alone' that lyric makes me cry cause it makes me think of all my friends in the war. THANK YOU!
