we always just dance in our socks and we practice on carpet and it is hard to dance in sockets on carpet so we were bare foot. I find it easier to dance and move my feet to different positions with sockets on instead of something like tennis shoes. plus shoes get heavy after u have been practicing a dance for a long time.
