This is one of Charlotte's best comic roles... she was in her fifties at the time. In my biography of her, "Charlotte Greenwood", I write about her role as Mrs. Potter and include some unpublished stills taken of her during filming. My book is based on her unpublished memoirs, in which she describes working with Edward Everett Horton on this film and in other productions, as well as on the stage.
@wataru21 Forgot to mention that if you buy the DVD, make sure you get the 2008 release, not the 2007 version. The color is much better in the 2008 release. Amazon has it.
please get chuck to a camera and do an interview. us fans would love to get some stories! so many folks that had memorable bits in movies are now forgotten, dont let chuck be one of them!
The guy dancing is our friend and neighbor, Chuck Saggua. He doesn't dance anymore due to hip and knee surgeries, but is still a lot of fun. He lives in Fullerton, Calif. with his wife, Sally.

Never the leading lady but always a strong supporting character that added the right vigor to any movie...she was amazing...where are the " Charlotte Greenwoods" today???
Great clip of this lovely actress. Thanks. There's a new biography out about her ( 2007 ), whom most remember only as Aunt Eller in the film musical Oklahoma.
Dear Surfmonkee....thanks for the videos of this Glorious Gal! Love these, but...do you know how I can find more videos of her dancing? Those high kicks in long dresses?
there are plenty of parents nowadays who like heavy metal/hard rock. why, i bet there are hundreds of mettalica, black sabbath, bowie, clash, led zepplin and alice cooper parents who have wonderful memories of concerts at the garden back in the 70s or even 80s.
You know that a style of music (in this case swing, as well as dance) is becoming a bit passe when older people enjoy it as much as the "kiddies". This happen with most crazes of the twentieth century including "The Stroll", "The Twist", "Limbo", and several others from the 1960's, and then much of what was originally for teenagers from the 1970's to 1990's (including Disco, New Wave and Grunge), perhaps the only three that hasn't happened to his Rap, Hard Rock and Heavy Metal.

OMG! I am such a fan of this. My mother (89 years old) lives in Fullerton. Could I possibly meet this wonderful guy...and Sally, too?

Charlotte Greenwood was famous for these high kicks - that was her trademark throughout her career.
