I think when you lock on with the soflam/javelim, your flares won't work if the soflam is still locked onto you when you're flying, me and my friend done this all match long and not one aircraft could stand up to us and most of them were popping flares but were still being destroyed/disabled by one javelin missle

The reason you didn't get a warning is because the launchers lock on to the SOFLAM's lase. That's also why Flares and Smoke won't work when they have a SOFLAM.
