Jons lyrics are perfectly matched with the music...Intricate, non-linear, abstract, complicated, spiritual, imaginative and difficult to describe. If you have trouble understanding the words, references, symbology and the metaphors then just feeeel the music and you will understand. Each side is deliberately arranged rhythmically and melodically to create specific emotions that truly reflect the storys being expressed. Best if you turn off the lights and turn volume to 11 plus a doobie.

I must have waited all my life for this moment...

When Tales was released in the early 70's and I had just gone away to college and at the 'peak' of my LSD years. The combination of the three created moments that will always live deeply in my heart and soul. For examples...I saw the complete Tales Live. under the influence and was so blown away, moved, overwelmed and in awe I beleive i was in tears for most of it. High the Memory Carries On..............TALES is beyond masterpiece!

How is this even remotely the best track of Tales From Topographic Oceans? I'd say it's rather only slightly better than The Ancient (Giants Under The Sun), behind The Remembering (High The Memory), and The Ritual (Nous Sommes Du Soleil).
