Ok South Africa may have the largest concentration of Whites in the continent of Africa but they are still the minority in South Africa Whites only make up about 10% of South Africa's population and their ancestors were British and Dutch invaders the native Blacks of S.A make up 80% of the poplation so why are these White women getting picked most of the time to represent S.A in beauty pageants this is so wrong

Well you have a good point but if you read my comments my argument is that the World should see more Black South African women representing S.A more pften in the beauty pageants they are indigenous to the land and the Blacks make up 80% of the population but most of the time White women, Indian and coloured are the ones representing S.A most of the time in beauty pageants in which is very bias and unfair thats my argument

You can not comapre the one or two or three African American women that was picked to represent the U.S to the many many White women that have been picked to represent S.A even though The U.S is considered to be a melting pot Whites make up the majority and you see White Women representing the U.S 90% of the time in beauty pageants whereas in S.A Blacks make up 80% of the population and you hardly ever see the Black Women representing S.A in the beauty pageants this sounds like White Supremecy

well it IS a BEAUTY PAGEANT. And for the sake of wanting to see a pure South African represent South Africa, they will not give up a semi final spot. These organizations are a business. Miss Universe and Miss World that is. More black SAs participate at Miss Earth and Miss International but because their standards of beauty are lower. It is the most beautiful girl that wins. Sometimes white, sometimes black. And actually you are right about Miss USA, their first black delegate was in 1990.

but again for the sake of fairness, she lost at Miss Universe, where as her first runner-up won Miss World that year. Misses USA 1990, 1993, 1995, 2000, 2003, 2007, and 2008 were all black. 2003 being Susie who was Dominican. miss USa 1995 even went on to win miss universe. South Africa is successful at MU just like Japan recently because instead of focusing on finding a south african girl, they send the most beautiful. And tatum was robbed this year of both the Miss universe and miss world.

I am NOT white first of all. I am mixed Japanese and Cuban. Having the best of both worlds, being a representative of a mixed culture, I think that beauty comes in all colors and sizes. Africans are not just black. They come in all shades of black. Northern Africa, like Egypt, is not blacks like in Ghana or Nigeria. And its about international appeal, not about regional. Japan sent Yukari Kuzuya, a mixed contestant (Japanese-French) in 2005. And Akiko Chubachi is Japanese and Black.

Miss Keshwar is a captivating lady, beautifully statuesque & elegant, with an obvious gift for sartorial splendour. Some may condemn her as too slim, but this would hardly be appropriate as she impresses that she is happy, healthy & most importantly, comfortable with her look. I would have been delighted had she won & would be equally delighted if a career in cinema ensues as there is nothing synthetic about her aura; her smile is charming & her walk equally so.
