There are so many things about Frank I love besides his music and voice...He never was a racists. he love black people love there music...love to sing with them...and I love and respect him for that...R.I.P. Frank (blue eyes) Sinatra.
This was Sinatra's last televised appearence, he was rather ill and suffering from dementia, it was great tht so many showed their affection for him one last time at this event. I dnt thin anyone realised he would be dead two years later.
Frank seems in awe of everything around him at this moment you can see it in his face. And he should because if a man was ever loved by america it was him. He was awesome and i believe all of america loved him. And with his great donations to charities he in turn thanked america. May you rest in peace my friend..
gd, strong vocals definitely. but the style and delivery isn't really my cup of tea. alittle too shrill and overly dramatic. ella would have done it diferently.
It is a pleasure to be among so many true Patti Labelle fans. I am certainly one of the biggest of all time and at first I thought I had to pay to post my comments, but tonight I had to see for sure because I had read so many of the wonderful comments that you all had made about the best singer in the world that I wanted to post some of my own comments. So I gave it a try and signed up and it turns out it was totally free to sign up. Glad to be among the true patti fans (JAH)
To get a standing ovation from a man who's regarded as one of the greatest singers of the 20th century (one who has seen and heard it all ) is the ultimate compliment. Patti was by far the greatest stand-out of that night!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is one of the top 5 Patti moments of all time. She was the only performer to get a standing O that night, from Mr. Sinatra himself. I loved the way Patti flipped her coat tails up at the end, like "yeah, I did that ...." RIP Mr. Ellison...work that choir!
yea, this one of my top 5. even my parents called me after this was on tv, and my mom mentioned the coat flip, and she was like, " i give it to ur patti. she rocked that"
She brought the house down. Frank was clearly touched. He sang that song so many years before when he was a skinny kid.
