You are definately intitled to your opinion, but in the late 80's when Hip Hop was truly going mainstream, outside of using a James Brown sample, GO-GO was the only original sound that hip hop fell on. From Trouble Funk with Kurtis Blow and Afrikka Bambata didn't become big until they introduce the go-go sound in there music. In the late 80's group like Kid n Play, Salt-n-Pepa,Dougie Fresh,Sweet tea,as well as many other's got hot with go-go samples. So do your homework son!

I love go-go music. Born and raised in DC... Here is a list of all the GO-GO clubs in the dc/md/va. Please add to the list if I forgot any.
You see go-go music is a style that really I think only DC knows. Yes MD/VA has/had some good groups but its a way of life in DC
