I reckon Walcott would do better if he was in a less physical and slower league. Messi has already said that he thinks Walcott's pace could make him one of the most dangerous players to have to defend against. But the Premier League is fast already, and very strong. He just gets pushed off the ball too often, and can never use his pace to his advantage because defenders are always able to recover and get in to intercept his crosses. He'd do very well in the Italian or French league.

The main difference is Henry having great composure and a great touch while Walcott is just pacey and lacks the final ball. I think he's the player who's been the most out of form at the moment. But he still has years to learn from and it would be a shame to lose him to a rival club.

So I don't think its reasonable to compare Henry's short stint at Juve with Theo who has already played a lot of games for Arsenal at that age. The difference is that Henry had more quality. just a quick reminder that walcott is still only 22. Thierry Henry was kinda crap at that age. I remember in the worldcup 98 henry did so crap against Italy that they had to switch his wing because he couldn't get past Maldini even a single time!

So lets have patience. Walcott has improved immensely the last year or so and his runs and crosses have become more dangerous. Comparing his young career to a Legend of Arsenal is a little unrealistic.

Walcott is not much of a footballer at all really. All he has is speed. And there are lots of thos types of players, yet Walcott doesn't even know how to use his pace well. Guys like Bale, Lavezzi, and Valencia at least have learned how to make their speed a weapon. Walcott is faster than all of them, yet he has no idea how to get by players consistently using his speed. Walcott would never be able to do to Maicon what Bale did, but he is even faster.
