If you just think about it you can figure this out. If you have a glass of water and you stir it in a circular motion, it forms a whirlpool that is directly centered all the way to the bottom. the same concept applies to the golf ball glob. if you spin the glob fast enough it will sit the golf ball down on top of the tee.
hey flip it up side down and see if the TEE on your globe is slanted i have too face the angle away from me because the lip of the TEE is to high on one side. I want to know if they are made like this or if mine is just that much more agervating to work? OH by the way im the only person to ever get the ball on the tee on mine ive seen other ppl do it on other ones but the lip on mine will get ya if you arent aware of it
Not to be picky and all, but this video is 2:48 of banter and 0:02 of solving and the video is framed so that those critical 2 seconds are outside the frame.
If there's a design on the ball like a smiley face, I can work the ball behind the tee and roll it up face forward. Talk about pissing people off! LOL
i work at a golf store we have those and i can do it within 10 senonds evertime,,,we have one with a floating ball and you have to do it upside down now thats hard
My daughters, who are home from college, knock mine off the tee almost daily. With all this practice, I can now mount the ball on tee on the first try about 80% of the time. They're trying to drive me crazy but it is I who is driving them crazy. Revenge is sweet. :-)
Someone at work got one of these a couple months ago. Took me awhile to get my rhythm down, but I can get it within a couple mins now. Might try this technique though!
If you keep in mind that the object is to get the ball on top first then roll the tee under it, you'll get it. If it bounces or rolls to the side, start over.
It's great fun pissing everyone off as I get it back up on the first or second try every time. They want to get under my skin by knocking it off and I just won't let them.
never got on the rite track with you, but i was wondering ifyou could try my spark cell out. Since it looks like your ready for other stuff......its really intersting, and i think you will be amazed. a couple of people/friends have tried the spark cell and havent complained.
I like the idea of public domain or open source. How can we combine all efforts so that we don't duplicate work? Or just have a central hub of knowledge? There's a lot of people out there that are curious. Sorry that this is way off subject.
PESWiki has been a good focal point for OU projects in general but I can tell you a HHO specific Wiki is about to be deployed that's going to knock your socks off. Stay tuned.
Is this a metaphor for the oil on the surface of the globe and the ball of molten hot iron core in center of the earth. So, to solve global warming/cooling, we should try to move the golf ball (iron core) back to the center of the earth to stop the wobble and thus distribute the oil more evenly. You present some interesting challenges.
I saw an article in Pop Sci a few years back about propulsion for creating the motor effect with a liquid like saltwater and it was a lot like the cells that we build. There may have been n/s magnets involved. Intended for subs. I don't know because I don't swim much anymore. I think it was built in pvc....Not the sub, the tube. Serially, budssubbs may have a point
You are sooooooo talented. I think there was a battery in the base supplying 40 amps of pulsed power to the tee causing a magnetic attraction and the ball is made of steel.
OK OK OK .... Now can we please get back to solving the energy crisis!! These gas prices are killing my bank account. So this can't be harder then solving the ball-n-globe thingie can it?
I'm sorry it want off camera, everyone. The reason for aligning the ball so precisely behind the tee is it lets me tip the globe back slowly keeping the ball on top until I'm looking straight at the top of the tee. Then I just roll the globe forward quickly allowing the ball to ride the edge of the tee without bouncing until the tee is under the ball. This keeps the fluid quite still and allows the ball to come to rest without being knocked off.
hahah wt Um haha wt Ok Get back to work stop slacking off Just kidding I really like watching your videos Thanks should have some glue on my cell tomorrow, Regards DeltaHH-O

My technique works SO well that I can take a smily face golf ball and mount it on the tee right side up facing forward!

Good to have you back. :-)
I watched your spark cell vids. They're still two electrodes with a large DV potential voltage (>2.4v) across them. They must be heating very rapidly.
My experiments are moving in a much different direction. Just uploaded a video that should be viewable shortly. Take a look when you get a chance.
