I was diagnosed September of 2010, I had heard of Lou Gerhigs disease ..never knew just what it was. Now I know, I bet if you were to poll all the doctors on the planet and ask what disease is the absolute worst ...the one they would overwhelmingly choose is ALS.
That being said, science is on the threshold of finally coming up with treatments, finally gaining an understanding of what causes ALS and how they might treat it..if there has ever been a time to give its now!!!! ALS TDI is a god send
I was diagnosed with ALS almost 8 years ago. I am one of the "lucky" ones to survive more than 5 years. My wife and I have seen first hand the important work being done at the ALS TDI lab and raised money through the annual "Cure Is Coming" walk and 5K. Thank you Nolan Ryan for raising public awareness of this devastating disease and support of ALS TDI. I may live in Red Sox nation but GO TEXAS!
