I am not from Nova Scotia, but this is one of my favorite Hank Snow songs. I love the lyrics, the melody and the guitar picking. Hank Snow was a very good guitar picker as well as a singer.

the king of country ...his music only knows soul , no category belongs to him , he was totally indidviidual...his voice is easy to hear, his instrument in coordination with him , i llove hank..hes my gr8 saviour of country music....canadian pacific is my fave ...good on ye ..king snow

I grew up on hanks music.. and still love it ...

he was amazing... Here is a little something he may have not have used in a song had he known the implications of the word in modern times... " The gay atlantic shore" ...I always giggle when i hear it in the song and wonder what the younger crowd think... ahahahhhaha ... when i sing the song, i say "great atlantic shore...just so i dont get tomatoes thrown at me.. ahahhahhaa

I am from the gaspe and hank snows music is in our blood here.

Great song, good job with the Video. My grandparents live in Liverpool, I can actually walk through their backyard to the Hank Snow Museum. Its a great museum, I've been in it a few times.

Just hearing this song after so long made me cry. My dearly departed Dad who was from Nova Scotia loved this song and would turn beet red when he listened to it!

Oh wow...I didn't know he was from Nova Scotia...my dad played his records alot so I grew up with listening to him and am fond of his songs. Have a couple friends up there in NS and have been up to visit a few times. Lovely place! :)

i have much thanks to this man if it wasn't for him i wouldnt be here today, because he introduced my grandma and my grandfather and then they had my dad and then my dad met my mom and now here i am thanks hank :)

A beautiful song, and gorgeous scenery. Hank was my Mom's favorite singer, and I liked him too, and still do, but have never this one, as I recall.

My aunt use to date Hank and this is the reason I used his song.For people live here Hank Snow stood up and no one here help they cut the man down so up left so he could make as singer not it this world would let him.There is more to story but I won't go there! If he was alive I sure he be here helping us!
