@jlkbbk2003 nope, it actually gives way an inch or two to allow that particular section of the patient's body to drop quickly in response to the impact pressure applied by the chiropractor. then, he resets the table and it raises an inch or two until the impact is applied again, at which point the table gives way again. Almost all acute back pain will go away on its own. If you want to be assessed for your chronic back pain, then you should not go to an ER or even an orthopedic surgeon. ER doctors will treat your acute pain, but not diagnose you. An ortho guy wont care unless it is surgical. Try to go to a PM&R doctor - many of which will do manipulations themselves. They are also trained in pain mangement.
Perhaps pain may go away, but does the problem (vertebral subluxations, herniated discs, loss of the normal spinal curves, etc.) go away? Best to seek help from a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC). DC's don't "treat" but correct spinal issues. MD's, PT's, etc. treat the symptoms, not the cause. Go CHIROPRACTIC!!!
That is not so true... Some problems may be that way, but not all. If the problem is muscle soreness, weakness or spinal instability, then massage and physical therapy can fix it. But some problems are articular in nature and require intervention of an osteopath or chiropractor.

@caballeroinex and yet there is no real evidence that we landed on the moon either and it is still considered a universal truth that we accomplished it....i wouldn't talk until you have experienced it for yourself.
i would say a good reason people believe in these "lies" is because it works. it's not lies at all, if you have a good chiropractor you would know it works. @dimeswylde Actually, most studies I've read show that when xrays are taken before and after chiropractic adjustments, there's no major change at all. the proof you're citing is tainted by placebo (you believe it will work, so it works) and anecdotal evidence that scientific research can find no basis in.
I agree with you. My chiropractor explained why I had chronic back pain at 15 by taking one look at my MRI. The MD had no real answer for me other than to run more expensive tests. The adjustment relieved the pain for a long time
I have nothing to do with that website. I was merely visiting it. I know that manipulations cause death. I work in the medical field though and you don't know who I am. crack away....your practice is a joke
I could say the same thing about the medical field. Specifically, general practitioners. Prescribe away after a cursory 5 minutes. How the hell do you think college kids get adderrall when they dont really need it? Just go tell your GP you think you have ADD. They'll put you on a trial no problem. That's how I got it.
You want some muscle relaxants? Just ask, its that easy! They'll write one out for you. I'd consider that to be a joke.
wow, another sudo medicine that should be banned. Why do people belive in lies like homeopathy and chiropractors? People nowdays lack common sense... And they lack ability of rational thinking...
ignoramus. you don't know even the most basic anatomy or you would know the nerve system controls every part and function of the body. educate yourself a little before you condemn in ignorance.
How do people lack common sense if it works it works. Its like giving me medicine that works and you are given the same medicine for, oh lets say the common cold, and it doesn't work for you. Your saying its sudo medicine because it didn't work on you.
Just because you dont need chiropratic services doesnt mean its not a real medicine.

Wrong! Chiropractors are not "doctors too" in the sense that you are implying. They hold a doctorate, but not a medical degree. They also practice pseudo-scientific therapies that do not work! A medical (real) doctor on the other hand could not live with him/herself if they did this.
Which "pseudo-scientific theories" would those be? Diagnosis? X-ray analysis? Laboratory testing? A Doctor of Chiropractic is a doctor in every definition of the word. Chiropractors have physician status in all 50 states. Their training and education is approved by the U.S. Department of Education. All schools are credentialed. And chiropractors actually have more classroom education than do medical doctors. PLEASE obtain a clue before you run your mouth again.

i went to a real doctor because I woke up one morning and couldn't walk because my hip hurt really bad. He sent me to xray, thinking I may have gotten bone cancer over night. He wanted to prescribe me some harsh anti-inflammatory.
I went to my chiro, 20 min later. He told me exactly what muscle group was screwed up, massaged it for like 10 seconds, and I was ready to play hacky-sack and go for a run right away.

Bisous.
