I found her version refreshing because there were no guitar players trying to sound like Hendrix. She brought a very different interpretation to the song. I love guitar, and I love Hendrix; but please! How many guitarists are gonna come out of the woodwork playing Hendrix licks?

i call it the universally cool genre. she "shopps me down with the edge of her hand". hendrix is smiling knowing where this went with angelique. after i first ran across this on a documentary called "lightning in the bottle", where she plays with buddy guy (who influenced jimi), i listened to it 10 times in a row. WOW!! i'm going to put it on in my studio tomorrow and jam with it.
