VTR250? Well... all bikes are welcome. But you'll struggle on that one. Even on C group. Get a CBR250RR or (if you can fund it) even the mighty RVF400. Those bikes you'll teach all you need to know on the track and then some. Plus you'll have the farings to save you a little bit down the straights... not much down! LOL
sure, the higher speed cornerrs are going to get you killed on the VTR, but the slower corners are a hell of a lot of fun.
TBH, even my superduke gets killed at the end of the straight. It's not about riding the fastest, it's about getting better and learning techniques. Personally, I think the VTR is perfect for such a task.
The baby blade is a horrible bike to ride for a tall person (but so is the VTR after a while).
hehe yea i guess running wide at those speeds and coming that close to the dirt does something to your confidence. we were riding in green (B1) group. ill have to get some more footage of todd, he is much faster now, consistantly in the low 150s
nice vid mate! Sucks they don't allow ppl to film anymore....

wow man, that speed coming onto the straight was intense.. haha
enjoyed the video.
just wondering, is it ok for 250's to hit the track, or is it considered a bit of a nuisance that they're there and insanely slow??
I want to get a bike, (vtr 250) however want a good learner bike, but also eventually (few months) go and take it to the track, to learn some more.
cheers

mighty fast r1, and its as strong on the breaks as well

Well done Tod, 269 down the straight would be enough for most to evacuate into thier undies, next track day should be a pearler.
