I use this for 4 im-5s and 6 led parcans (parcans all on the same dips so that 6 lights are on just three faders). This software is great to use for small gigs, festivals I once used this with 2 icolours about 6 or 8 mad scans and a strobe and the presets you can make is just never ending, this was the first thing I started ever using and I think it's brilliant!! Making presets to go with tracks is long winded but the end product is great if it's right.

I believe that the dongle designed by adj is designed to work exclusively with their software. Proprietary. I could be wrong though so contact adj tech support and double check with them.

I use VMWare Fusion but not for DJing... I avoid the unreliability I get when using windows. Not going to start now. Someone else will offer the same thing for us Mac DJ's (there are a lot of us out here)

No. There are a lot of companies who's equipment this works with. If it's DMX, this application should control it.

I tried out something similar to this software for a show at our high school, Im the lights and sound director, and I just think it just doesn't feel as good as it does with a control console. But for a DJ or band, etc I think it would be very nice.

Also, im skeptical on this software because, what if the computer lags to much, what if for any reason the computer doesn't work, software crashes?

And, can you back up scenes like on a board?

Its simple if they are patched on different channels instead of hunting for the second moving head controls make a static scene button of the rotation you want and my DMX puts it at the top so you can have access to rotating head 1 and 2 controls.

you can download it from americandj's website and you buy the controller box which links between your DMX leads and to your pc.
