Big oil has the rights to 68 million acres of oil producing land in the US presently. They've not taken advantage of that since they want even more land.

More Alaskan oil fields simply means more US oil going to Japan and China....remember, it is always open to the highest bidder!

i get frightened when sen. McGeezer, becomes just another republican on the environment just to cozy up to shell. but when i see that americans are willing to sacrifice pristine coastal areas just so their gas bills at the pump drop 27cents it tells me how selfish a people we have become.
