Every fast food place is run the same when it comes to service and quality. You also have to take into account that fast food places employ young adults the majority of the time. As for what is done to the food, well any food place from fast food to fancy restaurant there's always a chance someone has added their own person touch to the food. I still gross my nieces and nephews out with the stories of things my coworkers used to do.
I had something like this with Advanced Auto. Their District manager called and talked about the situation for about 10 minutes. He really awesome and made everything right!

Ok, that's stupid trying to buy you off. But I think it would worse if you complained to them asking why they bought you off and the buying you off got worse and they sent you $500 and a psp. The thing I named would be awesome, but its also bribing you to leave them alone. I'm sorry about what happened to you :(

Mcdonald's messes up my order all the time. I don't leave the window before checking to make sure all my food is there and correct. I'll even unwrap my sandwiches to ensure they're the right ones. I would never have to do this if they didn't mess my order up a handful of times in the past.

i would bet 1000000 cheeseburgers that every maccas manager and franchise owner has a template of that exact letter, with the blanks being "McDonald's, *blank*, Inc." - "apologize for the *blank* you encountered when you visited the *blank* restaurant" - "Sincerely, *Blank blank blank*." ... I stopped patronizing McDonald's when I was informed that corporate does not allow tipping. Last I checked it was my prerogative if I want to tip for good service. I wrote corporate a letter and received a form letter much like yours back with the gift card (No toys, though). I'm still trying to figure out how that was supposed to address my tipping concerns.
Consuming this "bionic food" causes rage disorders in customers. As well as you practically have to test out as a retard to be hired by the company. People grow your own food! That is the only way to know what is or is not in it. Eat raw veggies and fruit you will be shocked how much inner peace comes when you get this toxic crap out of your diet and life!
I would have sent the back the free stuff and told them you wanted to set a new date for the meeting. I rarely get fast food. This is one of the reasons I do not go to fast food places that often, the people who work there just don't give a shit.
Once again a ripoff. Sending money back sounds a bit more forgiving than a debit card and beanie babies, and I still wouldn't eat at this specific one after what you've gone through.
