  • Thank you, this has been added to our playlists here and on facebook...

  • Woo hoo! What a great way to have coffee and start my day! I am subscribing! ~Craig

  • Well done.

  • I hope you did not write this version of this song. Mostly because it is the opposite of what the Bible and Jesus teaches. There is nothing 'Righteous or holy' about us. We a all worthy of hell. Look at the people Jesus occupied himself with. Songs like this so more damage than good. But "this train" carries liars, thefts, you name it, they are on the train. Other than the words, good job.

  • Good music. Good rhythm. I like all your videos. I use the same tuning on my banjo, but I have a ways to go. I notice that no matter how much I tune it: mine still sounds like a banjo. Thanks again, Orlin

  • I was looking for Guthrie but good cover. Thanks

  • Thanks

  • I remember my father and his brothers playing and singing the old songs such as 'This Train', 'The Great Speckled Bird' and many others when they would all gather on his farm in Virgina to help my grandfather pick and cure his tobacco crop. What a wonderful time that was. What a shame that anyone under 60 years of age wouldn't remember that "AMERICA."

  • Sometimes I regret having not been born a couple centuries ago.

  • I hope I see you all on that train. Great song. Good job Lew.

  • Thanks

  • Hey Lew Years since I heard this and it is such a great song. Great sound and captured that train going down the track.

  • Say

    Lew...

There are so many train songs in the folk tradition as you know...but this is one of my favorites and I am so glad to hear yet another take on this chestnut. Peter Yarrow sings this as a part of a train medley sometimes during the PP&M concerts.

I had to take out the old Martin guitar to accompany your banjo and vocals...which by the way, were pure and right on the mark.

    Peace,

    Stewball

  • Thanks for sharing have not heard for a long time has a few extra verses 5***** G.G.
