This scene ROCKS! Prime doesn't even bother with the standard transforming sound- he just EXPLODES out of vehicle mode! I love the expression on Dirge's face reflecting in Prime's grill as he mows him down. Blitzwing is fast, and he's smart enough to just get the hell out of Prime's way. Anyone else notice Prime never fires first at the Decepticons in his fly over? He always returns fire when the Decepticons miss. Finally, Prime hits Megatron so hard he has PIECES FLYING OFF! Ouch!

I would have to agree this is the best Transformers Movie and or piece of film including episodes. Yes it's made for kids but it had some heart. Heart that was NOT present in the 2007 live action film. The live action film had amazing effects and a great battle scene but it lacked substance.. I almost turned over in my future grave when i heard Optimus say "Ooops my bad" . That movie was made for kids just as much as the cartoon was.

1: Zoids is far more recent, and thus the animation and everything behind it is more modern.

2: Despite the animation factor; compare the cult popularity of Stan Bush singing "The Touch" to the musical score used when the Blade Liger beat the Deathsaurer. What's more well known, hmmm?
