  • why can't we play right anymore bears SUCK

  • little rough but for how old i is awesome even the ads go bears

  • The end part is sad when you realize Walter Payton is no longer with us.

  • What's the name of the song in the Lions game?

  • @revtrh "Take On Me" By A-Ha

  • A pox on all the lawyer villainy and associated Google scum who now run YouTube. Disabling the audio, Indeed!

  • if the bears would of watch all three parts of the 1985 season, maybe just maybe, we would of been heading to dallas not the yackers.

  • The 1985 Chicago Bears, best team in sports history. Nothing more needs to be said, period!

  • Uhhhh, Dionne Warwick and the 46 defense? Not a good match.

  • I cry when the final song comes on. I do believe I love you Chicago Bears!

  • From 2:18 to 3:18 the awesomeness of Da Bearzzz was to much for the TV.

  • dude just mute the music lol who needs commentary anyways.....80s music sucks

  • The Bears were great, but the music of the 80's was atrocious.

  • @pretorious700 I agree with your post about the 1985 Chicago Bears, although the music of the 1980s was way better than the garbage that passes as music today! I'll take Billy Joel, Glenn Frey, a-ha! & Dionne Warwick (& Friends) over Miley Cyrus, Beyonce Knowles & Lady Gaga any day of the week!

  • I love the Bears and these throwback commercial. Sometimes it gets hard to explain to others how close Gary is to Chicago. When the Bears were dominating I felt like we were as well because we were so close. In a Reagan era it was great to see a blue collar team dominate like this. It's hard to be a football fan after seeing such perfection...oh well

  • This was the greatest team of all time. When McMahon went down in both 84 and 86, a dynasty was prevented. MacMahon stays healthy, I think they beat San Francisco in 84 and repeat in 86. Its hard making it to the super bowl with Steve Fuller and Doug Flutie as a quarterback regardless of how good you defense was. Look how the Bears fared against playoff caliber teams both with and without McMahon

  • 4-1 Bitches. The Bears are Bearing down on another Superbowl baby.

  • Absolutely Awesome -- I remember seeing the original broadcast. Go Bears!!!!

  • Clipping at :21.

  • im know Chicago fan, but i do have enough respect for the game of football to say that the 1985 Chicago Bears were AWESOME!!! their defense was unstoppable that year, and Walter well the numbers speak for themself. this team will go down as one of the greatest teams in the history of the NFL!!!

  • wow!!

  • loved this bears team i was 9 yrs old in scotlaand loved mcmahon coming on and throwing 3 tds.

  • You'll never see another team not give up a playoff point. 25 years and no one has even come close to challenging that record.

  • 1985 Bears best so far-end of.Walter Payton RIP.Welsh (UK) fan and hoping to visit Chicago for a game, hopefully December next season-colder the better!

  • Wow thats kool music. HaHa

  • This is a FAR cry from Jay Cutler....thats for sure.....

  • @Gumballmachine83 I EMBARRASSED YOU SO MUCH THAT YOU HAD TO DELETE YOUR COMMENTS PAGE. SEE WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU POST YOUR SUPERIOR. HOW SMART YOU THOUGHT OF YOURSELF. LOOK At you know, still frustrated and no comments page. i did that to you.

  • A plus on the video dude! The Bears rule!

    F minus on the soundtrack.

  • It's all 80's music dumbfuck..go with the time get it?

  • @TheWIRC haha did they win??

  • I believe the soundtrack was part of the original show.

  • Enough with the Bears-49ers debate. Each champion team shines in its own way. The 85 Bears were speacial. They operated at an energy level I have never seen in any other team. The defensive line headed by Singletary was UN-REAL! They shut down opposing team offensive lines like nobody's business. And the Bear's offense, once Ditka put in McMahon, came alive in a big way. When you have the perfect combination of people and personalities - majic happens. I call it the "Harry Potter effect."

  • John Madden said it best, "too many egos destroyed the greatest dynasty the NFL never saw."

  • lol nice music

  • 85 Bears are better we have walter, singltary, perry....

  • yup

  • The 1985 Chicago bears are Almighty

  • dang they were really good and only lost one game

  • The '85 Bears were a favorite team who knew how to play. That's all anyone can say

  • i like both teams a lot u guys shouldnt be fighting they are both great teams, i just think the the bears were a cool and more dynamic team.

  • 49es suck

  • 49es?

  • Bears made football look easy here looool ;) fun era :)

  • Great Nostalic look back to the mid 80's era ;'(...;)

  • domination of monsters of the midway.

  • Greatest team (over one season at least) ever....

    and I'm a Broncos fan...

  • Nope that would be the '84 49ers. They beat teams who go on to win the next 2 super bowls (bears and giants) and their only loss was by 3 points, while the bears only loss was a rout by the dolphins that wasnt even as close as the final score indicated.

Futhermore, nobody else in the bears division made the playoffs while the LA Rams were always a playoff team.

  • Did the 49ers shutout both teams in the playoffs in '84? Or any year for that matter? 10 total points allowed in three playoff games. You have no leg to stand on. The '85 Bears had the BEST SEASON EVER. Just enjoy the five rings because we beat the 49ers in '85, too.

  • Well they shut YOU out in the 84 playoffs, I am sure you recall. Oh, and they held a team that averaged over 30 points a game to about half that in the super bowl, the Miami Dolphins. And I am sure you know about the dolphins, the team who in 85 ripped your team apart, embarrassing you on national TV. Best team of all time my ass.

The 89 49ers won their 3 playoff games by a combined 100 points, something even your awesome 85 bears cant claim. 49ers own the bears, cant deny it.

  • I agree. The best teams in the NFC in the 80's up to that point, Washington and SF, were in transition in 1985 and had to re-load to be better in the future. The NFC wasn't as strong in 1985 as a whole, and that helped the Bears.

  • you tell em what a dynasty is...49ers all the way... too bad the bears only lasted a yr

  • Yes, but the 85 bears won both playoffs with two shut outs in a row followed by the worst defeat in super bowl history. No team has come even close to matching that, not even your awesome 49ers.

  • @rawn4203

The Bears were the only team capable of beating those Niners throughout the 80s.I could also point out they blew out a team that beat on said Dolphins 46-10 in that Super Bowl making that lose a fluke and that they avenged the 84 loss to the Niners during the regular season beating them handily.Ill admit the Bears topped them at a huge peak in 85 while the Niners maintained a Plateau above them the rest of the time

  • Oh - they beat the 49ers, Rams and Giants that year. Just in case you needed more information against your defense.

  • Yes the 2 shutouts is great. But guess what.....their overall margin of victor for the 3 playoff wins that year was 21-0, 24-0, and 46-10 = 91-10, +81.

    The 1989 49ers won their playoff games 41-13, 30-3, and 55-10 = 126-26, +100.

Sorry but the niners beat you again.

  • but the bears allowed less points

  • but the 49ers scored more points.

  • Steve Young was good, but not THAT good.

  • @a7b7c78 wrong the 85 bears would kill them the best team ever 85 bears

  • The Bears only gave up 10 points in the entire post season that year, advantage Bears.

  • +100 or +81, advantage 49ers.

  • Who cares about how many points you put up? Defense wins championships and the NFL has never seen a defense as near perfect as the 85 Bears were in the playoffs. You don't shut out the entire NFC in the playoffs unless you're a great team.

  • And none of those 10 were the defenses fault. The TD to the Pats came in garbage time with the score 46-3. Many starters were on the sidelines celebrating already. The FG came as the result of a Payton fumble in Bears territory. The Pats were already in FG range when their offense came on the field.

The defense gave up nothing in the playoffs.

  • Great video, drunk.. Sounds like a Channel 32 thing... thanks for posting..

  • Best defense to take the field against a fluke...Miami shoulda been the bait..

  • Amusing how cheesey tv was in the 80s, popular music was definitely a step up in quality however.

  • And Go Get Em they did.

    SUPER BEARS SUPER BOWL

    Chicago: 46

    New England: 10

    MVP: RICHARD DENT

THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS TO NEW ORLEANS IS COMING BACK WITH CHAMPS!

  • Some much awesomeness contained here:

    - 1985 Bears!

    - Shameless Bear's vanity program!

    - The original Soldier Field (before the spaceship landed on it)!

    - A fortune in music royalties!

    - The commercials, dear lord, the commercials!

    - Ditka and Butkiss shilling rust proofing!

I am satiated for the month; enough Internet for me.

  • was this aired before or after the superbowl?

  • Walter Payton such a little guy w/ such a big heart

  • I miss Walter Payton. He was cool.

  • The ending made me cry. :'(

  • i think even the commercials are awesome

  • awesome memories there man. thanks.

    and GO BEARS!!!!!

  • i have a video on sean landeta's dropped punt against the giants with commentary. except u can't really hear sumerall's voice unless u turn the volume all the way up.... the bears demolished dickerson. the week before he played da bears, he had 248 yds aginst Dallas, then when he played da bears he only had 46! GO BEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ha Eric Dickerson and the Rams never had a chance against the bears

  • From a Cowboy fan, this was the best 1 year team ever. A shame they couldnt win at least one or 2 more. They were the gaps between past players and today. 60's Pack had small linemen, slow back & rcvrs, Steelers & Boys of 70 started getting bigger & faster, 80's 49ers, 90 Cowboys and 00's Pats are bigger, faster and more athletic. And the game changed to a passing oriented game. This Bears team could do all that and nobody (well except Marino) wanted to face that D in the playoffs and SB.

  • I remember that was the game where Wilbur Marshall layed a vicious hit on the lions quarterback

  • Man this is so awesome to see. Its so crazy to know that I was literally only 1 day old when the Bears beat the giants 21-0 in the NFC Divisional round. It's like I was born to be a bears fan. GO BEARS.

  • swseet, on top of the 85 highlights theres even some butkus and ditka stuff! kick ass

  • I realy enjoyed the highlights and even the old tv ads but f*ck couldn't they have used some Sam Spence music.

  • i lived in Los Angeles in 1985, the whole week before the playoff game against the Rams i took a lot of shit from everyone, I was so happy they shut them out, so happy i gave them back all the shit they gave me and then some especially after the won the super bowl

  • wow, that was before the superbowl, cool, and sad, because walter payton isnt with us anymore, my favorite player eve5r

  • wat wit da TV

  • they really were the best

  • Dominance.

  • The Giants and Rams never stood a chance,Go Bears!!!

  • Long Live the '85 Bears!!!

  • too good for words

  • Da Bears.

  • Greatest team of all time!

  • hell yeah!
