  • As Tommy mentioned in the video, you can measure the ventricle from both a long and a short axis view. It's really your personal preference how you do it!

  • You can use both view, short and long axis parasternal views, a great tool in ED to use, especially in assessment of patient with Low BP!

  • Good video. One question: In the literature or in different courses teaches that m-mode measurement of LV should be in parasternal long axis view. You measure LV in parasternal short axis at mitral valve level...it is valid too?
