As Tommy mentioned in the video, you can measure the ventricle from both a long and a short axis view. It's really your personal preference how you do it!
Good video. One question: In the literature or in different courses teaches that m-mode measurement of LV should be in parasternal long axis view. You measure LV in parasternal short axis at mitral valve level...it is valid too?

You can use both view, short and long axis parasternal views, a great tool in ED to use, especially in assessment of patient with Low BP!
