How many people died in cuba in racial crimes last 50 years? Zero compared to many other countries especially US they are a lot further with banning racisme. Taking racism away takes time but cuba is further then most countries. @nnnnnsssssssssllllln well if you want to be technical HUMAN is the race and african, european, native american, arab etc are sub groups. since most people are in some way intermingled the most correct term is ethnicity. black, brown, white, red, yellow are terms many people use to identify. it isnt the same all place here. in south america a person seen as white might come to the states to visit and find that they arent white here. same goes for black. in the states one drop make one black.

51% mulatto
37% white
11% black
1% Asians and others
DNA tests and population sampling shows that a higher number has African ancestry and many have Taino ancestry mixed as well!

@chsn09 you need to research where the one drop rule came from. it was used to keep pepole slaves after 1807 when england would patrol the seas for slaveships. no new slaves meant that people who were 1/8 african could still be slaves and be seen as african yet have blonde hair and blue eyes. a-rod, jason kidd, the rock, tiger etc are not seen as white for this reason.

The one drop rule however did not become institutional until after the 1930s when mulatto was eliminated from Census as a racial category! So there were buffer races besides black and white! Those who were mulatto and passed as white did so and those who could not pass became black! Jim Crow is what launched off and heightened the one drop rule!
