  • yeah I loved Bret, he was a solid wrestler and didn't mess around, you knew you'd get a great match. Plus I was a sucker for his style, he looked fit without ridiculous muscles and stood out back when everyone had eye-catching colour co-ordination of some sort (made the difference back then :P)

  • Does anyone know who the British commentator is?

  • @SkullOfYorick Lord Alfred Hayes

  • Cracked.

  • Pretty Decent Pop Though When Bret Came Out

  • @Bonius99- Europe, especially England, was Bret's territory, even when he turned heel in 1997. His fan base was so huge internationally.

  • @TurgeonFan77132 The thing about Bret is that people always stress the fact that when Bret turned heel he developed an anti American stance. Often in America they focused on the dynamic that his heel turn made him popular in Europe/UK/Canada. However, Bret Hart was massively popular in other parts of the world long before he turned heel. I can't think of any other American wrestler who while he was a mid card performer became so popular in foreign countries.

  • I know why the Late Dino Bravo left the WWE in 1992. He got tired of losing to People like Kerry Von Erich, Jimmy Snuka, The British Buildog, and Rowdy Roddy Piper.

  • Is this the match were bret breaks his sternum? I think it is on wrestling with shadows!

  • Comment removed

  • @CptKirk377 no that match was in Toronto he talked about it in his book.

  • @LadyLaconte Specifically, that particular match (the one where Hart breaks his sternum) happened on October 29, 1989. This match seen here happened nineteen days earlier.

  • What happened to Koko B Ware vs Boris Zhukov?

  • Bret is such a good wrestler. Why did Vince McMahon have him losing to people with no talent and no ring psychology earlier in his career ?(Dino Bravo Bad News Brown Honky Tonk Man)

  • @DJ8700 bret was actually meat to win but the throw on2 the rails damaged brets sternum (real) so he was in 2 much pain after tryin to go on n had 2 role back out the ring getting counted out,,, bret tells the story better than me,, but bret was actually booked 2 win this fight.

  • @Englishpedigree

idd, it happens at 09:16, off camera though, seen the dvd as well

  • @1:02 what is the ref checking bret for?

  • @porn1978 foreign objects

  • @anthonytd103 ..Thanks!

  • RIP ADOLFO BRESCIANO(1948-1993)

  • Yes, Tony worked for the WWE in 1989 and 1990 before going back to WCW

  • is that tony schivone doing commentry? sure sounds like him

  • What very poor sportsmanship from the audience! Bravo easily AND CLEANLY roughs up Hitman, and yet Bret's fans do not want to accept it. Dino was simply doing better at 3:00. Had he been cheating, it would have been different.

  • Bret was a huge draw in Europe from 92-97, on a par with Hogan over here.

  • 9:15 is where Bret Broke his sternum.

  • Dino Bravo......my Hero toooooo.

  • 9:40 priceless. The fans in England are serious!

  • what do you mean by draw?

  • Selling tickets and PPVs

  • people criticize bret for not being a draw, but even in '89, whilst he was still in tagging he was always really over

  • Yes, people do, but without the hard facts. They are usually Flair marks who think that saying "Flair claims Hart didn't draw" is a reliable source. Hart drew more revenue in the 1990s than Flair did in his entire career.

  • i know what u mean. it's crazy that someone so fucking talanted can be so stupid. look at videos of him on "off the record." he really is think.

  • That's meant to be thick not think. Still a fan of flair but he is stupid

  • 50-70 moves, really. He had certain favorites, but you'd have to be blind to deny the fact that he had a deep repertoire.

  • Great wrestling is not about moves.

  • Moron.

  • Bret was a great mat wrestler. I hear some of the critics saying he had only a few moves but that couldn't be further from the truth. Bret made his mat wrestling skills believable because he was a smaller guy in comparison to the monsters in the WWF at the time, and focused on wearing opponents out with holds then just toppling them over like the Warrior. You can criticize Bret's interview ability, but his matches were always fierce and believable unlike Flair who flopped on his face for matches

  • he is the best ever dino was cool too then

  • this is great fight power skill vs all skill

  • see bret was ready for main event back then

  • Bret actually broke a couple ribs and said he couldn't breathe after dino knocked him off the ring.

  • i remember seeing this match, it was pretty scary..!

  • why?. i've got it on video still on world tour.

  • dino bravo has so much power

  • 2:40 atamic drap

  • The Hitman was frustrated woudn't be one of you frustrated after beëing screwed so mannytimes in 97' ya bet I also would change in a EGOMANIAC !!!

  • I was a HUGE BRet Hart fan when I was a kid, but after he left WWF it became quite apparent from interviews both with him and those that worked with him that he was somewhat of an egomaniac and a control freak. He didn't feel he had to lay down for anyone at any time and the storylines always had to be according what HE wanted, otherwise he just wasn't happy. Needless to say a "me first" attitude doesn't work well in any industry. I am happy he's doing well now since his stroke though.

  • Egomaniac? Sure, he's got some of that, but I wouldn't say he was a control freak who didn't lay down to just anyone. Up until Montreal, he always did what he was told. He simply was just slow coping with the fact that wrestling was shifting a different direction.

I need to read his book. So far I've read the autobiographies of Ric Flair, Shawn Michaels, and Eddie Guerrero(personal fav at a moment).

  • you think he's bad, you don't know about shawn michaels then

  • Is this the match where Bret busted his ribs but didn't tell Dino and finished the match anyway?

  • Yep

  • No it's not. It was around the same time, but not this one.

  • i love the crowd response

  • London Arena looks really good. I wud hv Wrestlemania 7 over there.

  • I respect Bret but he comes across as a baby at times to me. lol still a phenomanal in ring performer but he just needs to grow up a bit more

  • i beg to disagree.. he just answers what's being asked from him that's why it seems that he's being a cry baby or something.. if you're talking about what happened at wrestlemania 10 or 11, after a few days, he can talk about it without being bitter.. &he speaks about it 'coz they're asking him to discuss it once again&again&again.. &he never cried in any interview ..

  • At 9:15, Is that the time Bret mentioned in his documentary, that was the only time he got really hurt in the ring, apparently he couldnt breathe, and couldnt tell Bravo he was hurt.

  • This is not that match salader1

It's the same ''spot'' though as the fought this same match around the world on this tour.

  • No, it happened a couple days or weeks later. It was during this same tour though.

  • It happened on October 29, 1989 in Toronto, Ontario

  • This is a really good match, the atmosphere was great. When I first saw this I was pretty surprised in just how over he was. He hadn't won a match in ages at this point lol.

  • I guess the spot @ 9:15 wouldn't work out so well in Toronto. LOL at the Hitman fan when Bret's trying to get up! Bret was pretty over in the UK at this point, wholly shit! Thanks for the video!

  • Yeah I love that guy dressed as the Hitman :)
