  • You understand that the Church of AD 410 was Catholic, right? Hate to break that one to you.... no protestant churches till 16th century....sort of Johnny-come-latelies...

  • what????? you want to add clips of screamers and ranters like Mark Driscoll as proof that the reformation is a good thing.

rather you prove my point, that christ is not known by any of us. but rather than acknowledge this and seek the gift of repentance we will prefer to fight over doctrine.

well, we will have all eternity in hell to fight over doctrine.

BTW violent zeal shows not faith but the exact opposite, unbelief fearful of being exposed

  • motive for reformation? bitterness and resentment at paying taxes, the so called peter' pence, to be exported to rome to fund papal building projects.

let us not pretend that the reformation was in fact spiritual: it was a hate fest, on both sides.

If the Bible speaks truly and we know them by their fruit then BOTH sides were of their father the devil.

yes, luther and the reformers had better doctrine than the catholics. and what good did it do them?

  • I think it is funny how this video uses footage from the movie "Luther" but all parties mentioned are calvinist. Are you slow? I know calvinism feeds on ignorance but.... come on guys.

  • I've heard Martin Luther had chronic constipation? So if he had, had access to bran muffin the reformation might never have happened?

  • Thanks, you prove rather than disprove my point. Martin Luther was a Jew hating anti-semmit who supported the burning of anti-baptists at the stake even though initially he hd been against it. He has caused more problems than he solved.

  • @MrOphachew You are an idiot.

  • @jave042 Truth hurts. Anyway Luther wanted to throw out the book of James when he was translating the Bible into German simply because he could not reconcile his new man-made doctrine of sola fide with James 2:24 Also, Martin Luther had problems with The Book of Revelations too.

  • @MrOphachew That wasn't the only reason he didn't like James. I also have a problem with Revelations, just look at all of the calvinists who obsess over it and not the Gospel. You act like no books were removed from the Bible when the new cannon was made. Luther cut a bunch of stuff out but I'm kinda glad we still have James personally. The book of James is easy to read and is therefore a great introduction for someone new to reading the Bible. Luther was a bad-ass, screw Revelations.

  • @jave042 --Luther was a Jew hating anti-Semite and responsible for many, many Anabaptist being burned at the stake even though he was initially against it.. Luther wanted to throw it out but his people wouldn't let him. No books where ever removed by one individual person they where removed by divinely guided council/synods under a specific set of criteria and not simply because they disagreed or didn't like them.

  • Faith Alone? James 2:17 & Titus 3:8

  • @MrOphachew John 3:16 All James 2:17 means is that if you don't show outward signs of your inner faith, it's probably because you have none. I mean, how could you really believe in Hell and God and love him without wanting to flee from evil actions?
