I love this series and I seriously can't wait for Gears 3 to come out, but I've never really touched the multiplayer on it (except for Horde Mode) because I've heard alot of negative things about it, mainly the fact that alot of guys on mulitplayer are arseholes and are proper hostile towards new players simply because they don't know the maps well yet or they can't get a single kill in whilst trying to learn the game at the same time.

Just wondering if this was true and if sum1 had any advice?

@megamanfan85 yea its true, but that's half the reason why people love gears. there's a lot of trash talk on gears 1 and 2 and so you'll just have to enjoy it, or gears mp will feel like hell. Gears players seem like assholes but they're really just competitive. The trash talk a new player because that player is most likely the reason they're losing the match. Unlike COD, 1 players can't win the game, you need a collective team.

Im not a fan boy since I have both consoles Ps3 and Xbox but seriously guys this game bites. Worst controls. Not as smooth as MW2. I hate using shotguns but guess what with this damn game I have no choice since thats what ppl are always using since the rifle us useless and takes forever to kill someone unless I use the shotgun or sniper. Gears of war brings different things to the table making it harder but at some points more fun. So to compare it to MW2 means you just dont like the type of game that is Gears of War.

YES!!!!! Gears 3 multiplayer is wayyyyyy better than gear 2 multiplAyer. It's smoother and doesn't lag like in gears 2 wen ur shooting with the shotgun that not all bullets are getting ur enemy even though ur shooting The rite place, but gear 3 fix that. Can't wait wen that game comes out.

@MrCampollo Really have you played the multiplayer for number 1 cause it is way more balance then gears 2 online multiplayer.Gears 2 you roll faster you run and why the hell is that? And when your shotguning someone your just playing a big game of chance. The hit registery blows in number 2 compared to 1. Only thing gears 2 has over 1 is graphics and better maps. But the gameplay in two is just bad. You cannot strafe in this game cause its so slow and the stoping power slows you instant it blows
