  • hey , good job ! did you notice any improvement in braking ? because those look like stock size rotors, and how much did that set up cost you ?

  • where can i get the caliper paint? cuz i was thinking just regular spray paint

  • @Preppyboy70x most auto parts stores have it and i recommend it because it can handle the heat unlike regular spraypaint

  • @wesmath1 i bought one but its not spray it comes with a brush and i have to paint it with my hand wtf?

  • @Preppyboy70x auto parts store

  • @Preppyboy70x you can buy it either way

  • Good video thanks a lot ...........

  • next time use a bungie cord and attach the hook to the suspension arm and the caliper

  • I bought the ebc 3000 Series front and Rears on E Bay cost $178 for my Crown vic CVP71 I also bought Slotted and vented Rotors I think the 3,000 Series are the Best Damn Pads you can Buy from all my Searching and I had $30 in e bay bucks so they cost me $159 yeah there expensive Pads But I Wanted the Best Pads and they sure are..

  • Great tutorial! Did you have to use some sort of liquid to make sure the pad doesn't squeak prior to installing the caliper?

  • @Leonhart306 thanks! and no i did not use any liquid

  • @wesmath1 Does your rotors make a whistling sound when you drive?

  • @Leonhart306 Just Put copper grease on the back of the pads and it will reduce brake squeal :)

Also to stop the disk(rotor) sticking to the hub apply the copper grease to the face of the hub and no more squeeks :)

  • @OMACMedicFiveZero Thanks for the suggestion. Now that I have them on the problem that I run into now is the whistling noise. Is that supposed to happen with slotted and dimpled rotors?

  • @Leonhart306

Um the whistling noise, does it happen when you brake or all the time?

If it happens when braking, try the copper grease,

If happens all the time it could just be the way the wind is hitting them or somethng, my old Glanza had slotted disks and they were louder then standard ones, copper grease helped but didnt get rid of the noise completly, i just got used to it haha :)

  • @OMACMedicFiveZero I guess I might have to get used it the noise then.

  • @Leonhart306 As log as its not affecting the braking like its not binding or anything it should be ok :)

Although all parts of the braking system on my car has been copper greased to hell haha :)

  • @OMACMedicFiveZero But I have noticed when I'm braking on a steep hill my brakes vibrate more than normal. I'm not using the Yellow/Red/Green pads, so I'm not sure if it's the basic EBC Ultimax brake pads on Slotted and Dimpled Rotors that's making them vibrate when braking. It's not everytime I use the brakes it's only on steep downhill descents. Other than that they work wonders.

  • @Leonhart306 Hrm yeah thats a concern alright, are all the bolts on the caliper tight? What car do you drive?

It could be the actual disks are warped but the slotted disks will vibrate more than standard because of the nature of the surface, but when in doubt, whip em out :D works in most aspects of life bar a few exceptions lol

  • @OMACMedicFiveZero Come to think of it... I didn't retighten the bolts after 500 miles of usage. I drive a 2002 Honda Accord. You can check my channel I have some vids on my car. Going back to the brakes, I don't think the rotors are warped because I bought them at the same time I got my pads and that was about 4 months ago. Plus, they don't feel warped when I'm stopping on level roads. My old OEM rotors were warped and that's the reason why I upgrade to EBC.

  • @Leonhart306 Cool man ill check it out :) have no vids of my car up, i should probs make some haha :)

As regarding your brakes, strip em, grease em up, and tighten em all back up, if it still there it might just be the slotted disks :) $ months old shouldnt be giving problems, how did you bed the new pads in?

If you're worried ask a mechanic or trusted garage to check it out :)

  • @OMACMedicFiveZero I'll retighten them in the morning. As for bedding them in. I just followed the instructions from EBC. Easy braking for the 1st 100 miles and intense stopping from 60-0 to brake the Brake-In coating.

  • @Leonhart306 If thats what it says then its either lose or thats the way they are :) Good luck :)

  • does the sport brake rotor deserve to spend more mony over taking regular brake rotor ?

because i have a lexus es350 and it`s shake when i press brake while driving and i think is the problem from brake rotor

  • what sockets do u need for this job

  • @dylanYP only 17mm

  • Hey how much did all that cost?? The red brake calipers and rotors? i have a 2003 GTS eclipse that i want to replace the calipers and rotors on..?

  • @kurtmyhero the calipers are stock and are just painted with dupli color caliper paint... and the upgraded rotors and pads cost about 200 for the front. if you want to upgrade the calipers than you have to get a big brake kit which will cost you $1000 and up for just the front... i really want a big brake kit but don't have the money... anyway this brake upgrade that i did made a huge difference in breaking power... but if you just want red calipers get a caliper paint kit, they are 18 bucks
