In the bonus features I remember hearing 'Merry and Pippin's actors say that they filmed the scene where they say good-bye in Edoras twice. I'm assuming that 2:16 is from that other version.

Did they direct special scenes and sentences for this trailer that didn't get put in the film. I've seen the extended edition of these films about 15 times probably, but i can't remember that scene with Arwen and Elrond on the bridge at all. The part where he says "You gave away your life's grace. I cannot protect you any more." :s I may just be being dense, so sorry if I'm wrong. :L Also, this trailer is amazing :')

@Ssweetpea927 That's what I thought. More than anything it was a feeling of disappointment that they'd left out the pretty shot of the bridge. Although, the line was pretty dramatic too. They should have put it into extended edition. I mean, that's 3 hours +. No fan that committed is going to complain about an extra few minutes of dialogue.
