  • Geez y'all don't gotta be flashing ur lights in the lions' faces u fuckn morons

  • i can´t see any cub being saved, all i can see, is one of the dominating males behaving as usual, figthing among the other males, even if they are from the same pride...

  • @weird2325 ..u didnt see it b/c the person filming only focused on the angry male. In the beginning, he never shows the cubs whom I later realized must have been in the bush BEHIND the angry male. The cubs and lionesses all looked sickly anyway ..so Idk why J.Varty, Brits & the French in Africa keep asking the world to help fund their big cat bootleg camps (tourist traps).. telling us they're going extinct. Those frauds only protect & look out for their fav cats they know personally, smdh!

  • You saw that paw!!!??? :25??? He tried to smack all the bugs off that lion!! Lol

  • I think you were too close to the lions, for their benefit, they need their space!

  • DAMN right daddy takes care of his own!!

  • The cub looks pretty skinny, did he survived?

  • @Junde801 he latched on to this pride for sometime, that was his dad that was protecting him, he was the pride male who mated with the females that were run off, but the cub eventually died of poor health from what I have read

  • wow lisent from 0:24 to 0:38!!! roooaaarr roooooaaarrr rooooaaaaar xD

  • you couldnt even tell which lion was which

  • dont mess with dad lol

  • APPARENTLY HE IS THE OLDEST MAPOGO,AND HE HAD SIRED THAT CUB WITH A NEIGHBOURING PRIDE

  • Fucking flash light.

  • :25 lions: HEY YO TURN THE DAMN LIGHT OFF FUCK

  • This is MUFASA !!!

  • Get the flashlight outta their face they tryin to sleep

  • Great seeing dad's take care of their young. We always see the mom's so this vid is a nice change.

  • male lion: back the fuck up, BACK THE FUCK UP!!!!!!!!!

  • Alot of people think that male lions have it easy because the females do the hunting. But the males have to fight for the pride, sometimes to the death.

  • he probably fathered the cub mostly likely a mapogo male and their take over of 3 prides

  • marksafari are you gonna buy a kind of reserve?

  • Good video. Good father lion, ... and prestigious tv documentaries hardly ever show that usual and right behaviour from the male lion protecting his cubs (and more tasks). They usually (and only) tell that the male lion do nothing..., that lionesses do everything..., and that is proven as false. They ignore or hate the role of the male lion, that's the reason.

  • Don't mess with daddy!

  • Can the lions see that light shining on their faces?

  • Mufasa & Simba

  • Mufasa & Simba :)

  • go daddy

  • And people say a male lion is lazy. All the females run away when it comes to a battle and without the male lion the cubs die.

  • thats the males job, Protect the Pride with his life.

  • arent they blinding the lions by using a spotlight on them? those stupid assholes.

  • Male lions are the only male felines that actually have a role in fatherhood. All other felines like the tigers, leopards, and cougars just leave the female after mating.

  • go daddy!

  • I keep watching this video but I have no idea what is going on in it.

Who is protecting who, and which lions are together? It's all very confusing.

  • same :S

  • lol its coz were different species.. if lions look at humans they will be also confused which one is it actually, just like us

  • dad of the year

  • Definitely so, especially when Mummy's away hunting, Papa's forced to babysit the kids and keep them away from rival males.

  • any one got a bright light i can hide behind

  • Why dont the safari tour let these lions rest in peace the night !!!! Shame !!

  • They must be allied with the rival pride. That's why they were illuminating the cub to make him a better target. Humans and lions will always beat lions alone.

  • just cause its night time doesnt mean their asleep..

  • never thought male lions care about the cubs

  • if its theirs yea but if not they wouldn't

  • neither did I

  • Makes you think who the real beast is...

  • It's a bit confusing, it seems like only one cub survives.

The father looks extremely tough and self-confident though, so hopefully the pair makes it through the night.

  • now thats a father right there took on all those lionesses and i saw a male lion there in there as well so he took on a whole pride and protected that cub, amazing stuff, shame on his pride the mothers just leavin like that, nature is nature but im glad it has a good side to it

  • Thats why I am in the process of buying myself and Celeste a place in the AFRICA WE LOVE SO MUCH!

  • GET THE H** AWAY FROM MY KIDS!

  • pride-takeovers or nomad lions kill any cubs belonging to the existing dominant male(s), this brings the females back into estrus so they will mate with the new male(s). Normally if the cubs are adolescent or older then the new male(s) either kill or chase them out of the prides territory.

  • Lions from rival pride will eat cubs, if they get to them. Neat to see a male lion babysitting; the lionesses must be hunting. To route most animals, all the male has to do is roar.

  • They don't eat the cubs, they just kill the cubs.

  • lol the lion roar scared the shit out of me and my volume was up to the max

  • I've always been wondered about that black lip that almost all mammals have...even dogs. What's that?

  • Don't you know that they use lipstick. ;). black indeed. :D

  • Why the hell are you people arguing about the traits and characteristics of lions in a youtube video? First off, I dont see anyone here with wild animal university degrees so just STFU and enjoy the show.

  • Dad of the Year!

  • It is very rare for lions/lionesses to kill their own young..I've seen it only in one documentary & that was during the dry season where a cub tried to get a share of the meager food & the male hurt him, but that was during a very volatile time where food was scarce..so I have to disagree with you

  • no you're wrong man, the new male lion which became the leader of the pride, kill all the cubs cause they're not genetically related to him.

  • they don't kill their own young, read what I typed properly..they kill youngs of other males not their own..

  • The male lion kills cubs which are not related to him, to force their mother to be free to mate with.

  • awesome bond between the cubs n papa lion,,,

  • Dad Of The Year?

    Yeee :D

  • awesome footage!..animals protect their young yet you read about ppl abusing or killing their own kids, shows who the real beasts are

  • Thats a good dad, protecting his kids.

  • i wonder if the lions get annoyed by the flash light. i would lol

  • omg!!!!

Yup [ima girl thou] if somone came near my babys... id be tht mad

  • hey,,,you didn't get it...it's two males rival each other...a female lion never hurts the cubs or fight for leading.

  • yep male vs. a shit load of females. id beat up a female if she came near my family with a killer instinct too. :)

  • you mean if another male (like u) come near your family, you'd not beat him, huh?

  • no id take him down too. male or female. wouldnt u?

  • i like lions their tighy
