@90zap09 the NXT on top is the controller. The other eight have got a color sensor that is looking at two moving bars with different colors, moved by the controller. All 8 nxt's move 2 motors, 8 motors in both tracks. I yust need that power to move it. It was designed to let First see that you can build a FTL robot with only Lego

Een combinatie van een onzinnig antwoord op een onzinnige vraag waardoor het ineens duidelijk wordt dat we allebei NL zijn en Laurens persoonlijk kennen, etc..

@MennoGorter Ik gebruik alleen de standaard onderdelen. Alle sensor poorten op de 8 NXT's worden gebruikt om de controller, de NXT bovenop te melden dat 1 van de ultrasone sensors (8) te weinig afstand heeft (via kleuren sensoren). Zo heb ik nog een poort over op de controller om een arm aan te sturen die ik nog aan het bouwen ben. Deze moet boven het publiek uit een foto of film camera gaan bedienen. Ik heb jou (Super mooie) creatie gezien die werkt zoals je beschrijft. Gaat ook uitstekend.

Houdt je er wel rekening mee dat, sinds het vaak vallen van de kranen van de Smitjes, zaken die óver het publiek heengaan niet zo gewenst zijn?

Ook ik hou me aan de 100%-origineel-Lego-regel, zelfs gebruik ik daarom NXT-G, maar ik beschouw dingen die via shop@home verkocht worden óók als zodanig;

@MennoGorter Dat van de smitjes weet ik. daarom ben ik aan het testen met een arm die binnen de oppervlakte van de robot blijft. voorlopig is het nog een arm zoals op de cherry picker, maar het kan ook nog een telescoop arm worden. Ja en mijn sponsor geeft alleen maar standaard onderdelen. Maar ik ga toch een keer testen met de infrarood sensor zoals jij dat doet. Kan een mooie optie zijn voor de arm.

straks hebben 7 van de 9 NXT's anders geen nut, als je die IR-link gaat gebruiken.

Plus dat een IR-link de onhebbelijkheid heeft óók op jochies met PF-AB's te reageren. ( Verkeerde uitdaging ;-) )

Verder zou ik een combinatie schaararm/telescooparm proberen?

Met drie arm gedeeltes plus de hoogte van je onderstel moet je toch boven het publiek uit kunnen komen?

@MennoGorter ik denk dat je op alle punten gelijk hebt. Ik ben op vakantie, maar heb toch een bakje lego meegenomen. Ik heb een scharnier gemaakt om de arm omhoog te krijgen. maar dat gaat al erg moeilijk met een schaararm van ongeveer 1 meter . Ik twijfel over telescoop of arm. een combinatie zou het kunnen doen.

Very massive/impressive design and excellent colour selection!! It looks so strong that someone can hardly say that this thing is made of ABS!!!! The fact that NXTs are placed at the sides and not in the center is also an excellent choice as leaves much space for future developments (and from aesthetical point of view the empty core highlights the well-built lines of this rover)!!!

reaction number 2: why so many NXT's? There are 16 XL power function motors used for propulsion 2 on 1 NXT, so 8 NXT's for propulsion. And 1 as controller.
