The reason why people are popular is because people would rather wish they have what the "popular kids" have instead of being happy with themselves and what they have in their lives. If more people did this there wouldn't be a "miss popularity" because everyone would feel valued.

I think that Jordan is talking about the stereotype of the 'mean' popular girl. She was probably hurt by a popular person, and wanted to write a song about it. I wouldn't know anything about real school though, because I'm home schooled, and always have been. I love Jordan! =D
