both cases..health and safety was used for reasons,both times the fine was given and they were let on their way without having to fix the situation,.how can safety be given for the reason when they were let carry on..they got their money and nothing had to be done..right or wrong the government get their money and the "safety" was never fixed,the girl still left with the 5 kids and the truck still left overloaded..

How was that lady allowed to drive away after being stopped. With 5 kids in the back, if she were to have an accident later in the day and the Guards just having spoken with her surely this would come back on them in any investigation. Also her insurance is void if she is not being supervised !!! So she is driving without insurance at that moment.

Can a person from an Insurance company comment on this one please for clarification ?

It used to be that you could drive unaccompanied with a provisional, but recently (thank god) theres been a traffic law reform meaning that you must be accompanied, but due to this being recent, it wasn't enforced when the filming of traffic blues occurred.

Yes actually, I would have called her a stupid White idiot if she were Irish. What moron overloads her car with children not wearing seat belts and then reverses up a motorway trying to evade the law?! Plus she had no full drivers licence and was abusive to the guard, even spitting chewing gum at him! You know that if she were Irish she would have been done for it all. The fact that she was a foreigner, and a black one at that, ensured that she got off lightly.

Whether you believe me or not is your choice, although, its a given than an Irish person would be White. I am a cop here in the States and that lady would have been given a ticket and someone would have been called to help her with the kids. We would not have tazed her unless she got out of control and deserved it. Then we would arrest her and would have taken her kids. As for the truck driver we would have stopped him and called for the highway patrol to come and take care of him. We would not have beaten the crap out of him because it took an extra 30 minutes to go to the weigh station.
