  • funny how they never knew how to make a nice background back then,,,

  • bette can sure sing!

  • Crazy or deaf???

  • She's so funny!

  • wow, where did you get this video in high quality?

  • She may not have been a great singer but she could sell the song with no problem making it memorable.

  • 10 people are Team Joan!

  • My god could she dress up well. I mean, how many people can you mention who these days could pull of that color? AND she realises that she is at the age where you realy should hife your arms. But the outfit still makes her look like she has an hourglass figure!

  • She was such a strong personality and actress. I think this vid is so cool, especially at the end she looks like she's having alot of fun with it. Only someone as cool as her could pull it off...You go Bette!

  • She sang before in her films and this is great she even has a rock & roll record! That's why she's a Legend and nobody can deny that! If you like this film you should see Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte if your a Bette Davis fan!

  • mommy!

  • Legendarna glumica...Love!!!

  • i started laughing before the singing even got started. amazing. painful. yes.

  • hope she fired whoever talked her into doing this!!! ridiculous!!!

  • I wish I had been born during the time Bette's movies were on the big screen! She's larger than life on any size screen, but I would have loved to have seen her in the theater! I adore you Bette! R.I.P. Love!!!

  • Awesome - they just don't get make them like they used to ! :)

  • she really had a record?? or is this part of a movie ?

  • Bette! The best for ever and ever and ever!

    The only true Diva!!!!

  • Andy Williams. The Andy Williams Show

  • what's the bloke's name and his show?

  • Love Bette!

The Big and the best Acrtis of the time!

    Love !

  • She sounds just like Stevie Nicks!!!

  • I have this on my special edition baby Jane. I love it. Her confidence on stage is invigorating. Even when she is "out of her element"sometimes I think if she had not smoked she woulda been really great in a musical.

  • i love BD an JC!

  • @henrycaville ROFL!! hahahaha... but i really like Bette Davis & Madonna :)

  • Wow! I'm speechless. I didn't know this existed. It was far better than I would have expected. I know she was in a a musical version of The Corn Is Green but still.......

  • Wow! I'm speechless. I didn't know this existed. It was far better than I would have expected. I know she was in a a musical version of The Corn Is Green but still.......

  • She could pull anything off! Just talented and really cool to see this!

  • @henrycaville LMAO!

  • Go Betty!!!

  • damn, you never have any acid when you need some!

  • @tadge. You are spot on right!!

  • she was always up for a laugh and could make fun of her image. I dont think joan had a sense of humour like that!

  • wild - never saw this...lol

  • Absolutely lovely! Move over Susan Boyle..

  • Kind of surreal, but I like it.

  • This is so AWESOME!!! I LIKE IT & THINK SHE SOUNDS REALLY GOOD. FOR THAT GUY WHO SAID THAT SHE WAS OVERLY CONFIDENT & HER OWN BIGGEST FAN IS DEFINATELY NOT TRUE. Bette Davis is probably the most beloved actress ever & like me, I have met many people that love her voice, the way she talks that makes her singing pleasing to hear even though she is not a professional vocalist. It is still good. Great to be matter of fact!!!

  • Doesn't she know how tacky this is? What a way to ruin a psychological thriller.

  • @SpecialBrew81 Bette doesn't do tacky, you moron.

  • This would be good gay shagging music

  • @free2drm

I shag to it all the time, girl.

  • Next time I go to the gay bar in Ft. Lauderdale, I'm gonna let the top down and crank this song out as I pull up

  • @free2drm LMAO

  • @MEGABOINK65 The visuals that come to my mind over this are just endless. Many older queens would fall off their bar stools in hysteria

  • @free2drm I agree, those where the good old days. though all i've done is watch them. but is so entertaining.

  • they should have this for sale on itunes-id like to have it--i love the version where bette and debbie burton sings it

  • Bette Davis you fuckin' rule

  • BETTE RULES AND ANDY, THE MOST BEAUTIFUL VOICE EVER CREATED BY GOD

  • BETTE RULES

  • @NOELLE01j

Yes she does, best American actress ever..

  • There will never be another Bette Davis!

  • I love Bette's bopping dance.

  • BETTE IS A GREAT ACTRESS

  • It's unfortunate, but understandable, that Bette parodied herself to support her family in her middle age. She just married too many weak men. What a great talent she had been

  • I would freeze to death to be with in the same room as Bette, let alone share the stage! What a lady! Bravo Bette, you still make us all vibrate with your performances!

  • That was probably around 1967, judging by the production look, Bette on the Andy Williams Hour. She'd cut that song as a promo single with Debbie Burton, the voice of "young Baby Jane", a few years earlier.

Bette had a great sense of humour.

  • Does anyone know what year this was? Whatever Happened to Baby Jane was released in 1962, but that was long before color video cameras & recording... right?

  • @LeakyMustang

It was December 1962 - very, very early color - NBC was one of the first to film and broadcast certain shows in color. Thus there NBC peacock logo with the rainbow color feathers.

CBS was strickly black and white until the mid-60's ABC transitioned around the same time, but prior to CBS, which was the last to go to color.

  • Color tvs went on sale in aug 1954 all 3 networks had some color programing NBC had most, this show was recorded on quad (2") video tape not film (color video tape systems were in use by 1957) many of these tapes were erased or have since fallen apart i'll say its great to still have a few like this.

  • @jasonws1972 Thanks for posting that- I was wondering about that

because I've seen so many films and show in black/white then Color

I do feel that the old Classics TMC etc. are my Faves and Best made!

  • I LOVE BETTE!!! I have never heard of this so, it was a GREAT treat to find it. Thank you Youtube!!!!

  • What a wonderful promo to Baby Jane´s picture!!! By the 3er or 4th time I watch it , I really get the hang of Miss Davis enjoing this Bit!!!!

Every thing she did in her life would turn Gold eventually!!!

This video is proof of that!!!

  • DID YOU KNOW THAT CRAWFORD HAD A CRUSH ON DAVIS? I AM SURE CRAWFORD HAD FANTASIES ABOUT EATING THAT DAVIS SNATCH!

  • @fran9860 I just threw up things I ate 2 weeks ago!

  • The only person I would ever approve of playing ANY role Bette played is Meryl Streep, because I know she's the biggest Bette fan and would strive to do her justice.

  • Legend

  • This is so cute! I love you Bette! Hope you are still with us.

  • @glamourous888 Bette died of cancer in 1989 aged 81.

  • @markserjeant I never knew about that. Thanks for telling me the information that she died because of cancer. It reminded me of Audrey Hepburn too. just 4 years before I was born in 1993. How I wish I saw her and I wanted to hug her, she is lovely!

  • Legend.

  • Meryl Streep I want you to do Bette, especially this scene....

  • @atyg1967 yeah, she reminds me of Meryl too :)

  • I love watching this once in a while, its so Bette. I loved watching her

  • i loveeeeeeeeeeee this movie wish they would do a good remake not like the shitty one with linda redgrave nothing could ever compare to the original but still would love to see maybe betty white could play baby jane hellooooooo

  • @ladivina24 ahh they could never remake this movie.........it should be left as it is

  • The best of all time, and nothing else to say. Thanks A LOT for posting

  • It sucks that nowadys that you can be the biggest NOBODY with no talent or time invested in acting and become a "Superstar". I would love to here Bette's opinion on today's "talent" and all these bullshit "reality" TV shows. Shes fuckin' awesome!!

  • THAT MOVIE WAS FREAKING CRAZY!!!!

  • they made her look like hell in the movie. she looks amazing here

  • i've never seen this before,i loved it

  • bette davis...legend..thanx for uploading.

  • There aren't any stars like her anymore, with perhaps the exception of M. Streep. She knew she couldn't sing, but it didn't matter!!! She was Bette Davis.

  • She's so Chaaaaming!

  • A talented actress. They don't make em like that anymore, forever Bettepricing will approve.

They have approved the following two options

    4.375% with no points

    $671.38 principal & interest

  • Yup Bette Davis can do whatever the hell she wants, so anybody who disliked this video: get 2 Oscars first and then bitch about this. Bette was awesome!!!

  • @dannykiddo nicely said.

  • @dannykiddo in fact, Bette should have had a 3rd oscar for All About Eve as best actress and perhaps a 4h one for Baby Jane! In the case of the All About Eve, it has been said because Anne Baxter insisted on also campaigning for best actress too they canceled each other out...ultimately giving it to Judy Holiday for Born Yesterday. Too bad!!! :(

  • @dannykiddo - gosh, an actress she is.. a singer she is not. But at her age she would do anything. Nice voice for disney movie but not as a pop star. Davis was wonderful but overly confident and her own biggest fan.

  • I love Bette Davis for this! She's not the best singer in the world, but this clip is still very watchable and entertaining. She pulled it off really well!

  • This is just one of many reasons why I love Bette

  • Awesome!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Narcissism, 'ya think? She's an actress. Duh.

  • Wow, Bette can actually pull jazzy sing-talking! Incredible!

  • almost like a ballad except like chubby checker lol

  • Wonderful Posting!

  • Cant get this outta my mind??? it is too hip

  • Bette, in early 60s color...awesome

  • I love this clip Bette was so cute singing it,

  • Omg I Love Love Bette Davis!

  • LOL! So wrong. I absolutely adore her. Go Bette!!!!

  • Bette Davis... thanks for shareing yourself with your fans

  • Bette Davis has 2 Academy Awards she can do anything she wants.......This is great....

  • This is so much fun, and very 1960's campy! You go, Bette!

  • the video quality looks as if it was copied directly from the master cameras. I doubt if those tv audiences had color clarity this good.. It looks like one of those BONANZA episodes. NBC always had the best video quality

  • love her <3

  • I'm Bette Davis, I do what I want!

  • she's crazy

  • @danyeezy1, she was a genius. She knew EXACTLY what she was doing.

  • That´s talent, beautiful, talented, oh what else.. perfect

  • I love how she forgets the words at 1:34. HA!!

  • Why do I instantly smell cigarettes and jimmy dean sausage links?I can also smell feet in shag carpets.....takes me back to 1971 when I lived in los angeles.

  • god <3 her my fav actress :)

  • All these trashy hip hop "artists" whose stock in trade is TALKING--even though you can't understand a single word they say--could learn a thing or three from Miss Bette Davis: Perfect enunciation!

  • What year is this from?

  • I love it!

  • Holy Shit. That's scarier than the actual movie. She's great and all but - Holy Shit.

  • Early NBC color.

  • Whatever she did on screen- you could never take your eys off of her.

  • Wonderfull ! I put it in my mp3. Love Bette <3

  • I sing about Davis in The Celebrity Song.

  • Who told her she could sing?

Well, glad she didn't try to make a career out of this shit.

  • @ItBrandonSilver , Oh come on she wasn't being serious, she knew she wasn't a singer.

  • Fucking classic! I love ya' Bette!

  • Last weekend, I was watching the movie. Now I discover that the movie theme has lyrics. More frightening. LOL.

  • This is an extra feature on the Baby Jane 2 disc dvd set. I own it of course. I love this. I like how she dances hahaha I love her dress heh

  • I like her singing truthfully, it's original.

  • bette davis was a class act

  • I think this is cool! I love Bette as an actress. She doesn't have the greatest singing voice but she was a wonderful entertainer. I just watching her.

  • WOW!! Who knew she would try this??

  • Bette Davis was never afraid to do or say whatever she wanted. She was a strong, self-conscious and talented woman, a legend. She Was fuckin' Bette Davis, for Christ sake! Cant believe you're making such a fuzz about the fact that she aint Maria Callas or Aretha Franklin. So what? You know what would bette do about it? I'd laugh at your face and light up another cigarette. And she wouldn't give a DAMN about what u think. Because she knows she is Bette Davis. and that would be the end.

  • To me Bette Davis is one of the greatest actresses of all times, a monumental star, but for god's sake, THIS has to the lowest point of her career, it hurts to watch her doing this for a buck.

  • Now that is how you sell a song

  • Lol... No offense but, Bette Davis sings way more better than Joan Crawford!!

  • she isnt that bad of a singer... she is on pitch, and isnt unpleasant sounding, she is bette davis, she is allowed to do whatever she wants!!

  • shes fearless

  • So creepy and so wonderful at the same time.

It could only be Bette Davis.

  • Elle chante comme une casserole...

    Mais on l'aime pareil !!

  • c'est clair^^ Mais moi j'aime bien sa voix, elle a du caractère :)

  • I actually love how she sounds, and not just because she's Bette Davis but her voice is just entertaining. I put this on my iPod I love it so much.

  • Love this....love her enthusiasm..her lack of singing ability is compensated by her theatrical performance...brilliant!!!

  • Love Bette. This is so bad that's good - lol!

  • i love it....so shamelessly flaunting her utter lack of musical talent....i mean: look at her at the end of the song, relentlessly flouncing her skirt, refusing to let this pretty scary "Now What Do I Do?" moment in her career end....nonetheless: i worship her!

  • What a woman, what a woman, WHAT A WOMAN! Love her!

  • Bette Davis RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Bette, I love you even more now for doing this!!

  • Wow, I didn't know this music had lyrics - this is the same song (minus lyrics) that is playing in the background when Blanche is frantically typing a letter for help to toss to her neighbor. Unfortunately, this song is so loud from the neighbor's radio, they don't hear Blanche pleas for help. And then at that moment Jane comes pulling in the driveway and sees the typed note.....

  • "Make the, biggest thee-uh-tah ring!" Oh God, you have to love her! She's such a tease. And I am in love with her accent :)

  • Bette Davis can do anything the fuck she wants.

    She's Bette Fucking Davis.

I think she's earned that right?

  • Sure but she is dead now. What's with all the expletives? How common.

  • @marekerhardt What's with all the expletives?

Because I felt like it. Thats why.

  • That's mature. Well, I get your point. I get like that too to be honest. So Bette is fuckin GREAT! :-)

  • She sure is! And she certainley earned it!

  • @CarlyIsAGangster I agree, Bette is amazing, very talented, I love her, but yeah at this stage in her career, she could do anything she wants and people are gonna love her and she is gonna make money. She's TOTALLY earn't it though like you say.. You dont get nothing for nothing. She deserves all the success and money she gained.
