In my opinion, she was inconsistent, but when you look at her best work she was one of the few Impressionists that qualified as genius. At the top.

Brenda this is so great! Very timely. There seems to be interest growing in her work right now. If you are a Cassatt fan you've got to check out a book called Impressionist Quartet, The Intimate Genius of Manet and Morisot, Degas and Cassatt. It is by one Jeffrey Meyers.
