How could anyone think that was a memory lapse?Besides, this is a Naxos recording session, and they sure wouldn't record a memory lapse.Maybe Mel bay would, but not Naxos
@salomaodomingos certainly not of the romantic and spanish schools but it is music to my ear and I enjoy the newer freer out of the box compositions these days.
people there isn't a memory lapse at 4:00 its called an abrupt stop. its meant to to mess with you and it also helps show case the that little outro section. "awsome performance"!!!!!!!!!!!
The Brouwer sonata is an erxcellent composition and it is well served here by a fantastic performance. The momentary lapse in memory at 3:40 showed me that this happens even to the best interpreters. I hope I can play at a comparably high level one day.
I'd like to say something brilliant and smart so that everybody would thumb up my comment, but I just can't. This left me without words... just... fantastic. Love it.
@archlutesmith I agree, I watched a documentary about these recordings. If there is a pause, it is meant to be and is part of the performance.
