I didn't get my SPS that small, they were bit smaller than in the video, i believe they grow few centimeters/year , tried pulsing Xenia but with no luck, I'd rather they be left on the reef...Staghorn's do grow fast though...
Did u bought a frag hard corals once then it turn huge like size of a hand right? how many weeks months days or years it will take a hard coral to grow huge like yours and even pulsing xenia corals? do u have pusling xenia corals in your tank right? can u tell me how many years or months and weeks will my frogspawn corals to grow I have one in my tank?
Hope you'll enjoy it....I personally don't use iodide supplements, it is added into the tank by water changes i do 10% weekly, it is very important to keep your calcium levels around 400 ppm, and adding phytoplankton daily to the tank will have great impact on the corals, colour and growth i rarely use bacterial additives but heard they are ok...! what lighting are you using? do you do frequent testing of water parameters?
hello osramiko, yeah i did enjoy it! and now i have my own 50G reef tank, 36x18x18 with only 150W 20K MH. do you think its enough? i test my water parameters every other week and coz i do 10% water change so far everything is looking fine. i have a digital PH monitor now that is always in the tank. everytime it drops i add some PH plus.
Lighting is ok i would add 1 T5 actinic to mimick sunset/sunrise b4 and after the MH, i beleive the weekly water changes are more than enough for buffering ur tank no need for the ph plus, monitor clacium levels instead...
ok what color will be the bulb for T5? and is there any calcium monitor that available like my digital PH monitor. so i dont need to use tetra test all the time. by the way what is the 2 digital device you have in the side of your tank? thanks
hi Osramiko... i'm just starting to have a small one its about 50-60 gallons i have some live corals now hard and soft. hope to hear some advice from you how to feed and make the reefs healthy, i have "Iodide complete" and "sera ammovec Biostarter for active bacteria breakdown ammonium and nitrate". so far thats all i've got at the moment do i still need a lot more? pls reply.
HI dude nice tank what kind of camera u using too? did your camera turn your reef video in HD? the stuff u add in the sump right stop algae growth thats why your tank is so clean right?

Love the tank. How long has it been running? Also, why was the purple tang secluded from the main tank? Aggression?

For HD I use a software of the net (Xilisoft) nothing much in the tank just regular water changes and the usual maintenance...
