@Poptronic It looks to me like the tan sedan was in the same lane as the SUV to begin with and the SUV merged left to get out of his way or pass the vehicle in front, but the speeding sedan merged at the same time to pass the SUV and lost control as he jerked back into his lane. I'd say the sedan is at fault.

Years ago in my home town a car accident like this ended tragically when a guy got out of his car carring a gun and approached the driver of another car who was still sitting in his seat. As the guy leaned in the car talking trash the guy in the car stabbed him in the neck with a plastic fork. He died. Sometimes bring s gun to a knife fight ends the other way around if your not thinking straight.

I'm having a really hard time determining whose fault this accident was. There was a tan sedan and a dark colored SUV/van. The tan sedan was driving way too fast, but the SUV/van merged in his way, then looked like he tried to merge back while the sedan was coming. The sedan tried to dodge the SUV/van and smashed right into the back of it. Tough call....

It looks like the black car was about to switch lanes and then saw that the white car was NOT going to slow down lol as he's trying to go back into the lane he was in before, the white car tries to swerve into that same lane to avoid the crash.. but ends up crashing into the car. @Scownage No. If you notice the white car was going WAY too fast. They were both in the same lane. The white car decided to pass the black car. As he was doing so the black car started its lane change to pass the slower car in front of it. It could be argued that the black car didn't double check. But it did signal and slowly came into the lane. If the white car was going the speed limit the crash would have been a near miss instead of a three car pileup. The white car was at fault.

@miack84 Do you even have your license? Start the video from the beginning. The black car goes to over-take the slower car in front of him. He obviously didn't check his mirror because no matter how fast the white car was going, he still cut in front of him. There is no arguing that. They're both in separate lanes to begin with.

On paper however it IS the white cars fault because theoretically no matter what, if you hit the back of another car it is ALWAYS your fault. No matter what..

And changed lanes without signaling. The black car made one minor mistake. The white made two big ones. Black cars mistake assumed everyone was going speed limit.
