While I think that some of Hovind's arguments are indeed pretty good, he kills any credibility he could possibly have by using strawman arguments all the time or willingly changing what evolution actually means (for example when he says that evolution has to make things "better". No such things as "better" or "worse" exist in the process of natural selection. As long as your lineage goes on producing off-spring it doesn't mater how "bad" your individual mutation is).
i like how the guy who is constantly denying modern science is convinced that a book wrote 1000's of years ago by humans the most manipulating lying beings on the planet is undeniable fact.....
My prediction is that 99% of you so-called athiests, is that the last words you utter on this earth is: "God help me!" The rest of you won't have a chance.
I am sure you are right. After all you christians have a flawless history of love, tolerance and open-mindedness, the integrity, honesty and lack of human greed of Kent Hovind and the sanity and predicting power of Harold Camping on your side. Not to mention the overwhelming scientific evidence and well researched and peer-reviewed scientific papers and studies of creationism.
Over and over I see the hecklers who go from vid to vid denouncing everything religious and GOD centered. Let's sum it up: The evil of this world can only be explained by the presence of evil prodding men to do things their good conscience would have never allowed had not the evil been present. The laws of physics allow for angels to be present. The Ten Commandments, if honored in both the church and world would remove every prison and weapon of war, but the spirit of evil will never allow this!
Kent Hovind tried to have sex with me when I was younger. Luckily I kicked him in the balls and made my gettaway. Be careful around this guy people. You've been warned.
Received his "Doctorate" from Patriot Bible College, a non-accredited diploma mill. Hovind's thesis on "Christian Education" was not peer reviewed and contains numerous grammatical and common spelling mistakes. Since 2007 he has been serving a 10 year prison term for tax fraud.
i believe i can pawn suckers out of money if i claim this religious view and provide a shoddy fight against science to unenlightened people who have already made up their mind.
@HeavenJoans1 There is no problem with evolution. It's not a philosophy & doesn't consider the origin of the universe or of life. Creationism is a philosophy & does consider origins.
Darwin wrote on the origin of species, not the origin of life. You really have to turn your brain off not to understand the difference.
Simply put, creationism is answering a question evolution isn't even asking.
Ask me about the errors and I'll be happy to discuss them. I'll be the first to admit there are holes in the evidence but what you are referring to is the arguement of the god of the gaps.
Basically, where there is a hole there is god.
Humans once believed that the earth was flat, everything spun around earth, lightning was sent by angry gods, bats are birds, etc.
We prove these wrong but you still find a little gap to squeeze god in.
@N303xspr3ss No you need intelligence for that. As House once said, 'If you could reason with religious people, there would be no religious people'. There are way to many examples, experiments and yes, OBJECTS, that prove it. You are just to dumb to see them as evidence since you are a religious person. O, and, even the pope supports the evolutions theory, so you are behind.
@Onbekend1980 Alright LEt me put it this way for you all. IF your evolution theory is correct, then that means when we die you'll have nothing to worry about right?
BUT say If we are correct, us christians. Thats Means that when you die youll burn for eternity. So your choice. Will you Take that chance?
@N303xspr3ss Yes I will take that chance. Hell was made up, fiction. I give you a fact to imagine something: The celibacy of christian pope's, bisshops, priest or whatever, were for example never the words of God or even Jesus, but from Karel The Great to prevent losing land. Hell was also once made up by someone to prevent people for doing (from their perspective) bad things. It is all made up, And a lot of things are made up, some 'lies' or hallucinations just stick.
@N303xspr3ss okay, let's say I believe in Allah. Than I content that we are both atheists. I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours.
@N303xspr3ss That's not really a solid argument now is it? But hey, that's what u christians do, you start pseudo-scientific, and along the way, we win. But finally comes a conclusive argument: 'Well, he cured my illness' of 'he helps me trought the day'. You told me I would burn in hell. What you consider bad or good here, is nothing like what they consider good or bad when Jesus was around. Or in the dark ages. O and remember : There was a time everyone believed in god called the Dark Ages.
@Tacoronni not only have i read it, ive studied it for 2 plus years. i dont see what your getting at. its just another book written by man. have you ever the mahabharata? the I-ching? the egyptian book of the dead? yeah... i didnt think so.
@N303xspr3ss it is BELIEVED BY THE FAITHFUL that moses wrote the bible, but there is absolutely no evidence for that, as it happened so long ago. did you know that moses group that he led were made up of people who were once other religions? hmmm.... maybe, over that '40 yr trek' they started writing stuff down. we have no original manuscripts from the moses era (wonder why...) BUT we DO have original manuscripts and tablets from EARLIER TIMES recounting the SAME stories. do your homework hun
@guineapiggyman like what? what do you mean like what? their books, they write books on these books. I dont have the time to type what Ive read in the books to a total stranger
@guineapiggyman i KNOW you dont know more than me about Jesus and I feel very sorry for you. Im not trying to be arguing or cause anything and i dont want to upset you so im going to just stop talking to you. thankyou. insult me i dont care it doesnt bother me but i wont go any further :) try checking some Apostolic Penticostals. We're the best not trying to brag... just tellin the truth :) k bye
@Tacoronni lol. ok. ask me something ANYTHING, about jesus, that you think i wont be able to answer. AND ILL ANSWER IT. and i bet i can ask you somethings you wont know, hun. (bible/religious scholar; ex-devout-catholic, hun :))
It's true that these four questions are inherantly sentient although it is metaphysicaly possible for some to look at them as ativisms of thought but there is more to it than that. Given the vast amount of stars and solar system in the known universe wether aliens exist or not it most definitly is not impossible, how would we know right now if a far advanced civilization was out there very far from us it would hard to demonstraight with currect technology.
Atheism just means disbeliefe or almost completly not believing in a god and somewhat doubting an afterlife. With atheism life would have only a faction or a small fraction of a theistic purpous but to say if atheism is true that life would have no meaning is obsurde. The meaning of life it's self is a tricky question but equating purpous in lfie with wether evolution is true or not is a beyond scary corrilation.
I am a Christain but it is beyond dishonest to polarise like this. There are not just two views. Aside from the fact that the pope and the catholic church as a whole embrace evolution completly or the fact that a catholic priest thought of the big bang almost all the biggest contributions to evolution were made by theistic evolutionist. You don't technicly have to believe in evolution to be an atheist you just can't really a creationist but not all atheists believe in evolution.
Hovind kicks off with his usual introductory lie, that he taught high school science for 15 years. He didn't. He taught Young Earth Evangelical Fundamentalist theory known as "Intelligent Design" in private baptist schools, and one school set up by himself. He's a preacher who taught religious theory. Nothing wrong with that but it's not science, and I feel sorry for any of his students wishing to pursue a career in non-bible related scientific research.
@CarajilloDulce Don't you feel more sorry to yourself? not believing the most intelligent designer who is God is simply means doomed.. if you think that "perhaps" you came from a soup that is from a stone and turned out to be smart .. Isn't it more sensible that an intelligent being made us all that is why people are intelligent and we differ from each other coz He is that big time intelligent and precise? on education issue... your quest is only earthly and temporary, godly thing matters to us
@passangerseat1 Well that's religious fundamentalism at it's best..... exclude all rational or questioning thought in favour of belief in something for which there is absolutely no evidence. There is nothing "smart" about believing in bronze age myths, or in a variably translated book of anecdotes. If you want to believe that stuff that's up to you, but Kent Hovind is still a liar which ever way you look at it. He's a preacher not a science teacher.
Does anybody know how they got here? My ancestors are not monkeys...sorry...even monkeys know we're not related. A lot of fools following evolution. I was a fool for the longest time untill I decided to change my way of thinking. I have to say that when I gave God control of things life just works better.
@RobLeveille ... hovind has a new site up for his book that will be coming out regarding the end times and what people need to know. check it out 2peter3.com
I'm not supporting either side of this video. How can you say that either side of the story is true? Theory and science are both based off of what we as humans, who aren't perfect in any way, perceive them to be. Our concept of time, space, height, weight, mass, etc., are all based off of... what? Who decided that there are 24 hours in a day, or that we even refer to the segments of time as hours, minutes, or seconds? No one knows for sure because there is no definitive answer to this.
He claimed that as a minister of God everything he owns belonged to God and he is not subject to paying taxes to the United States on the money he received for doing God's work..............whatabout GREED dr Hovind?
has anyone read his doctoral? one of his main arguments is the 2nd law of thermo dynamics. he claims that is points out that everything tend to chaos because over time energy breaks down. he fails however to mention the second part of the law of thermodynamics: that the energy is used for growth and repair and productivity. also, the law actually states that things want to be more at rest not at chaos... i.e. something that is hot wants to get rid of that excess energy....
i do apologize for flooding a bit here.. i would like to point out that simply believing in God does not mean that you are like this guy. also, believing in evolution doe snot make you less of a christian. people forget that the bible is figurative and not literal.. also days are relative so ya, please athiests don't make fun of all christians for having alittle faith in God, and christians please don't make fun of athiests for questioning it. we can all respect each other! though not this guy!
hey, remember that time jebus said give unto ceaser what is dueth unto ceaser, and give unto god what is dueth unto god. cuz kent hovind fucking did. boom mother fucker.
Wasn't it Kent Hovind who said the Bible chaps people's hide, and that's why they don't like it? Because I'm looking at some of the more...ah...expressive comments just on this front page, thinking, "Yeah, them hides have been thoroughly chapped."
Question: Why do atheists care? Atheism, by its very nature, inspires nothing but apathy. So why are so many "atheists" anything but apathetic, especially toward Christians?
@8Zeitgeist Then again, maybe it's not a practice. Maybe it's something that happens naturally as a result of a deliberate lack of thought. It certainly makes for *superior* comebacks, like the ever-effective, "Your a retard" (note the incorrect use of the pronoun "your" instead of the conjunction "you're"). I am pierced through by your wit and intellect. Now if you'll excuse me, I must take my leave before you decimate me with a "Says you," or, God forbid, an "Oh yeah?"
@8Zeitgeist Huh? Do me a favor and stick to the subject, please. And if you want to change the subject, at the very least provide a segue.
BTW, I could use the exact same argument you made (the laws of planetary motion) to argue not just for a Creator, but for both the historical existence AND divinity of Jesus. For instance, did you know that Jupiter stopped over Bethlehem on Dec. 25, 2 BC, just as Matthew described?
@supermaroilogan It is true. We conducted some experiments on him here at Oxford University , over several weeks, using computer modelling and the results are clear. Kent Hovind is indeed , a tit .
@supermaroilogan You just go on believing that, but don't ask for my tax money to pay for your happy pills. Meanwhile, I'll be over here living life to the fullest.
@AtarahDerek Happy pills? Sorry, I don't need them. I'm not American. You keep living life to the fullest. Worshipping a zombie and believing in fairy tales.
@supermaroilogan If knowing my purpose is the result of believing in a fairy tale, then it seems to me that my fairy tale world is far superior in importance and quality to your real world. So if it's alright with you, I'm going to spend the rest of my life searching for God's world. Not that my life will be very long, I shouldn't wonder, but that's a small loss if the world is as dull a place as you make it out to be.
"I'm on Aslan's side even if there's no Aslan to lead it." -Puddleglum
@AtarahDerek Far superior in importance? No it's not. It's not real. You don't get to make up an imaginary purpose and claim superiority. I can do that. My purpose is to find the philosophers stone and make lead into gold! My purpose is more superior to yours. See any flaws in that logic?
Puddleglum was a credulous idiot for following something on blind faith.
Hovind's doctorate was in "Christian Education" from the Patriot Bible University which is not accredited by any recognized accreditation agency. He has no scientific qualifications. His dissertation has no title, no TOC, outlines 16 chapters but contains only 4, has no bibliography, and is full of errors such as "geological epic" for "geological epoch", and "centrifical force" for "centrifugal force". It contains no original research, the basis on which a PhD is supposed to be awarded.
@ikinmoore: what are u talking about? there's no evidence of evolution, if there is, tell, me, i'd like to know. and actually, we have more proof than u. how do u think that everything in this world came to be? how is it possible that a big bang, or something like that could create every, plant, creature, every living thing, all the DNA in our bodies, all of our organs, EVERYTHING, u know there has to be a CREATOR somewhere, not something by mere chance. read Genesis. it tells us everything.
"I haven't searched for evidence of evolution, therefor there IS no evidence. People told me we Christians have more proof, therefore we have more proof. I don't know how matter came to be, therefor abiogenesis and evolution are not true (those are not even related!). Some old book, which I've barely read, has better answers because I say so."
@evolutionismisstupid Now to actually answer your questions: bit dot ly/t37tn That page has a LOT of information about the evolution theory, the age of the earth, etc. BUT YOU NEED TO PUT SOME ENERGY INTO IT TO READ IT ALL! And as last, a list of youtubers who have *GREAT* videos on evolution and your faith: cdk007 AronRa Best0fScience WhyEvolutionIsTrue potholer54 Potholer54debunks ExpelledExposed DarkMatter2525 QualiaSoup Thunderf00t TheThinkingAtheist dprjones youtube .com/usernamegoeshere
Evolution is true so why does this guy keep on about his fairy story. All he had to do is to prove it in the scientific world. Easy isn't it ! The only problem is that Hovind cannot prove a thing. Not one piece of evidence !
You just said he would not wish hell on anyone, so why would he make it? Please don't avoid the question....(you already did that with your problems with evolution)
God made hell for Lucifer, aka, the Devil, who was an angel who thought he was better than god. The devil appears near the very beggining of time, and starts trying to win people over. God gave everyone free will. He dosnt want to force us to love him, but if we choose to follow the devil, we follow him to hell. It is your choice.
In fact, just on youtube alone you'll find several news stories about how statistically (which doesn't mean 100% of the time) atheists have a better understanding and comprehension of the bible than christians. This is because we do the reading. we don't let people like kent hovind tell us what to say in a discussion/debate, we figure it out for ourselves. also, for the record, the excerpts he uses in these seminars are out of context. google the source and youll find out how he twisted it all.
Let me try to clear something up here. when an atheist debates anyone of faith (especially a creationist), we are not trying to belittle or insult you. We are trying to tell you to go read, do research, even with a bias towards your faith you will still find no evidence for creationism. none. as someone who was raised and school in christianity, and desperately tried to prove my "sinful atheistic thoughts" wrong, I can tell you, if you educate yourself, and LEARN you will be enlightened.
Reminder to all, no one in the Bible that I know of has ever believed the earth was flat. Some people have, but that doesn't disprove the Bible, or destroy God(I don't recall him ever writing it was flat).
haha Grandkids are God's reward for not killing your own kids when you thought about it. Kent knows how to blend humor and God's message in a way everyone can enjoy.
It may have, who knows. Maybe it could have come from something even bigger. It is some crazy stuff, maybe a god, probably not. I absolutely cannot say for sure, and neither can you. Moving on?
Why do you think there is only speculation? What about all the scientifically proven evidence?
To understand where we have been is to understand where we are going. It gives us a better understanding of genetics, evolution of bacteria and viruses (which is going to be a huge deal in the future, look at mrsa), gives us better stats on current numbers of organisms, helps us in breeding animals, crops have been improved, genomes mapped, given us a better understanding of all aspects of biology..
@tsferg Some of the information provided is pragmatic. Yes. I have to agree. But all that could've been done *without* knowledge of the Darwinist concept. You see, those are things that can actually be observed, in real time. Get it? Supposed knowledge of early bipeds has absolutely no bearing on what's going on in Egypt right now, pal. Sorry. Supposedly knowing that every organism, we see today, formed from a single celled organism billions years ago has no relation to the price of grain.
@TenderTrap86 "in real time. Get it"Evolution can be witnessed, in a short time even. Look at any number of bacteria and or even fruit flies. Again, look at mrsa.
"Supposed knowledge of early bipeds has absolutely no bearing on what's going on in Egypt right now, pal." I never said it did (the old switcheroo, a common tactic). i noticed your tone has become quite chippy, I don't mean to anger you, I thought a little debate might be fun.
@tsferg The bacteria is *still* bacteria. It's just a different kind of bacteria. And I've studied the lauded "observed instance of speciation" in the fruitfly. First of all, the fruitfly remains a fruitfly. And, secondly, most of them couldn't even reproduce, if any. That's evidence for Darwinism?
I' am having fun. :) I'm quite infatuated with my position. I think I'm wise for it. Then again, people who think they're wise are usually aren't. Damn it. Now I have to start all over again. lmao!
@TenderTrap86 The bacteria is still a bacteria, but is is different now. You got it. There it is. Easy. That is evolution. The human being does not have to be the end point, it goes off on all directions.
Usually I come across people who are curious of their surroundings. You dismiss the bible as nonsense and you dismiss science as well. Are you not curious as to what happens in the world?
@tsferg I understand and recognize that evolution happens, in that it is small. I would never deny that. I'd be a fool. This is observed science. I don't believe that large changes happen, even in small incriments, however. The latter concept is of no use, whatsoever, and I have yet to find any Darwinist proponent to give me one good example of why anybody should concern fill their minds up with knowledge about life billions or million of years ago.
@TenderTrap86 To understand genetics, you must understand how things are able to evolve, you must understand how things mutate. You do not need to understand or even accept biogenises. But understanding how life began on this planet will lead to us understanding how it can start on others, or even create it ourselves....
I accept biogenesis. This has been observed. I don't accept abiogenesis, because it's speculative. Even if life is created in a lab, can the elements used to create life be created from nothing?
Stubborn ignorance..what do we see in nature dummy..life arises from life..never non living assembling into life? ever!!..francis crick and fred hoyle both have said abiogenesis is mathematically impossible but still stubbornly were atheist ..you also have ZERO Testable repeatable chemistry to back up abiogenesis..no one has ever been able to assemble amino acids into anything.which should be simple..primitive cells never existed
You think chemicals are just put into a test tube and you have RNA LOL..everything is? carefully watched at just the right TEMPERATURES!!! activated..with subunits to start it and bases along with million dollar synthesizing machines.to COPY information just to get it started!!!..these are CONTROLLED EXPERIMENTS!!! How dumb can you be?.. RNA arising...LOL more like plagiarizing information ..cut? and paste MORON!!!...LOL!.
@tsferg Do you know how unstable proteins and RNA are??..they break down under amazing conditions in the perfect solutions under the supervision of scientists protecting it,at just the right temperatures....so you really think a protein could survive on a poisonous toxic primordial earth.LOL..
@tsferg Impossible still ...like Fred Hoyle says I feel like some one has monkeyed with physics and chemistry..he was a militant atheist..,you are going against a well established law of biogenesis..louis pasteur..proved it wrong in the time of Darwin..stanley miller proved it impossible because of Homochirality.and with Toxic tar and unusable amino acids .and all we are doing today is copying information like what Venter did..abiogenesis is IMPOSSIBLE..you have Faith it happened!!
@5tonyvvvv wow, that is some genuine bonafide rage against abiogenesis. Did it rape your family or something? Ha! Why are you quoting all these scientists who haven't been relavent for years? I made one small remark about abiogenesis and you jump all over it. Its pretty cool and all but its something I am not too interested in. Will you tell me how you think it happened?
@tsferg Those scientists have proven abiogenesis impossible..people ignore this. Intelligence created life.not time and chance.abiogenesis is the dumbest theory ever, and goes against the well established law of biogenesis!
@5tonyvvvv Right now it seems to be the most plausable answer around. Is it impossible? No. Unlikely? Maybe. Manyof the points you made were valid, though you so elloquently stated them like a teenager, complete with feigned lol's. There are a lot of holes there, I'm glad people are trying to understand (or bury) it. What do you think happened?
@tsferg absolutely wrong these chains only form because a trained chemist is carefully watching and controlling every step!!..at just the right temperatures..also activated subunits and templates are used with bases..which would never be found on a primordial earth. If you want to simulate your early earth conditions you must do an experiment like what stanley miller did..and over come the problem of chirality..not start with information that already exits
@5tonyvvvv This reply makes no sense, where are you getting these ready made cut and paste replies? What an asshole. Heres a basic question. Which is has a chiral center CH3-C-N2-COOH or CH3-(CH2)-CH2BR? Ill assume you just give a non related cut and paste reply.
@tsferg LOL..ok lets see your primitive cell..this chemistry does not work only in your mind Moron!!..todays conditions are much more organic rich for abiogenesis..and it never happens!!
@tsferg RNA research..lol copying information using activated subunits at just the right temperatures ..which would never be found on a there so called primordial earth...If the really want t o simulate the correct experiment .they need conduct one like what Stanley miller did, and get around the major problem of Chirality..its IMPOSSIBLE to separate amino acids do you have any testable repeatable observable evidence for abiogenesis ?..abiogenesis is a Faith!!
@tsferg Sir, do you have any testable repeatable observable evidence for abiogenesis ?..I dont want to hear ridiculous assumptions..abiogenesis is a Faith!!..it requires faith to believe it..its clearly not science!!
@tsferg to get amino acids to self assemble is impossible..there is no natural process.to make a cell evolve ..it would be easier to build the space shuttle..blindfolded while riding a unicycle. Even with all the Proteins and DNA and RNA ...What would you do with it??..from there you have zero molecular machines, zero assembly instructions...all this stuff would just float away in some primordial soup and break down..and it would be the same thing in a test tube.
@tsferg You have a energy information problem..lets say you have all necessary proteins DNA RNA.enzymes to make a cell..the paradox is..In order for digital code to be precise, and information to be processed correctly..you need the molecular machines, the factories inside the cell.assembling information..these systems are the very things..that live inside the cell.they harness the energy..its an uphill? struggle.I dont think you understand..no natural process can achieve this.
@tsferg If evolutionists had optically pure DNA, RNA, and amino acids, they would still have nothing. In fact, the energy needed to form the bonds to make the macromolecules necessary for a cell, will destroy any DNA, RNA, and amino acids that are outside of a cell.
Its Stubborn ignorance..what do we see in nature ..life arises from life..never non living assembling into life? ever!!..francis crick and fred hoyle both have said abiogenesis is mathematically impossible but still stubbornly were atheist ..they also have ZERO Testable repeatable chemistry to back up abiogenesis..no one has ever been able to assemble amino acids into anything.which should be simple..primitive cells never existed
There are many professor, scientist, PhD's, teachers, doctors, lawyers, etc who are skeptical of the darwinian evolution. Some are outspoken, some are trying to keep their jobs, and some are afraid of alienation.
@Creationcreed Who are they and how many of them are secular? If you can find me one of them. Who is in a religious person I will be surprised. Also, for every one of these people that you can name, I can name 10 scientists who accept evolution who's first name is Steve. There is that many.
@tsferg I am aware of the many scientist who believe evolution, in fact that was what was taught to me for more 20 year(elementary-college). I point was just that there are many who don't believe in evolution that's all. Because people actually think all scientist subscribe to that explanation(humans from a rock).
@Creationcreed I asked you how many of these scientists are non religious who do not understand evolution? If you can find me one secular scientist who is not religious, I will be shocked. Scientists do not only subscribe to the theory of evolution, but they back it up with evidence. Every time a scientists looks into a little understood bit of the theory and scrutinizes it, the theory gets stronger. Every time someone looks deeper into creationisms, it gets much more feeble and silly.
@tsferg You don't have to be a Bible thumper to see evolution is flawed. Religious doesn't equal unintelligent btw and vice versa. Dr. David Berlinski is a non-religious skeptic of evolution. And other intelligent people who are skeptics of darwin dissent free download dissentfromdarwin dot o r g
@Creationcreed Why do they make you download it? Why don't they just post it? Im quite skeptical of Dr David Berlinski being an agnostic. He has been branded a contrarian. He does not support the theory of evolution, but also does not support creationism or gussied up creationism (Intelligent Design). If all he does is criticize without adding anything, can he still be considered a scientist? He has no respect of the scientific community.....
@tsferg Evolutionist always brush scientist who don't agree, and even say they aren't real scientist. Theres more than one scientific community. Hopefully you saw the list.
@Creationcreed He doesn't agree with ID or creationism either. He brings nothing to the table. Let me ask you this......which bit of evidence do you disagree with that supports evolution? I have a list too, it is a list that dwarfs you list of scientists who support evolution. But this list is different, to sign this list, you must be named steve. search "list of steves". But please answer my question.
@Creationcreed "What started the bang?" Answer: I dont know what it has to do with evolution but ill answer anyways. The answer is: I don't know. Do you? Now will you answer my question?
@tsferg We never see matter create life, we only see life creating life. I know you've heard this before, but it's true. Based on just that observation alone, there has to be a catalyst to create the Big bang if that is what happened. An explosion never happens by itself, whether a slow explosion or fast explosion. If I were to sit a line of 100 dominos on a table, the only way the first domino can fall is if someone bumps into the table, or slight earthquake, a cat jumps on the table.
@Creationcreed Sure, who knows. Big bang, difficult subject. Also, I think now you are confusing the Big Bang with Abiogenisis. Abiogenisis is not the same as Big Bang not the same as evolution. 3 different things. So now will quit beating around the bush and tell me what you actually think happened?
@tsferg We can't even get to the evolution part unless we discuss how the process even got started. Answer that please. That is the problem I have with it.

KENT HOVIND'S ARGUMENT
(1) I don't want to work for a living.
(2) I don't want to pay taxes.
(3) I can get gullible fundamentalists to send me money.
(4) I can use religious exemption claims to tie the IRS up in court.
(5) The IRS can't send me to prison.
(6) Therefore, God exists.

And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
Have u lied? Have u stolen? Jesus said if you look at a woman with lust you have committed adultery with here in your heart. have u done that?

Ask an atheist about the problems with evolution and they ignore it, ask a creationist and they will answer you with proof.
HeavenJoans1 6 months ago
@HeavenJoans1 There is no problem with evolution. It's not a philosophy & doesn't consider the origin of the universe or of life. Creationism is a philosophy & does consider origins.
Darwin wrote on the origin of species, not the origin of life. You really have to turn your brain off not to understand the difference.
Simply put, creationism is answering a question evolution isn't even asking.
GuillemotWatcher 6 months ago
@HeavenJoans1
Holes do not prove god.

N303xspr3ss 6 months ago
@N303xspr3ss No you need intelligence for that. As House once said, 'If you could reason with religious people, there would be no religious people'. There are way to many examples, experiments and yes, OBJECTS, that prove it. You are just to dumb to see them as evidence since you are a religious person. O, and, even the pope supports the evolutions theory, so you are behind.
Onbekend1980 5 months ago
@Onbekend1980 Alright LEt me put it this way for you all. IF your evolution theory is correct, then that means when we die you'll have nothing to worry about right?
BUT say If we are correct, us christians. Thats Means that when you die youll burn for eternity. So your choice. Will you Take that chance?
N303xspr3ss 5 months ago
@N303xspr3ss Yes I will take that chance. Hell was made up, fiction. I give you a fact to imagine something: The celibacy of christian pope's, bisshops, priest or whatever, were for example never the words of God or even Jesus, but from Karel The Great to prevent losing land. Hell was also once made up by someone to prevent people for doing (from their perspective) bad things. It is all made up, And a lot of things are made up, some 'lies' or hallucinations just stick.
Onbekend1980 5 months ago
@Onbekend1980 Your choice. When you get to God dont tell him you never knew about this stuff. youll be as guilty as i was a long time ago.
N303xspr3ss 5 months ago

RJL738 8 months ago
Atheism just means disbeliefe or almost completly not believing in a god and somewhat doubting an afterlife. With atheism life would have only a faction or a small fraction of a theistic purpous but to say if atheism is true that life would have no meaning is obsurde. The meaning of life it's self is a tricky question but equating purpous in lfie with wether evolution is true or not is a beyond scary corrilation.
RJL738 8 months ago

CarajilloDulce 9 months ago
@CarajilloDulce Don't you feel more sorry to yourself? not believing the most intelligent designer who is God is simply means doomed.. if you think that "perhaps" you came from a soup that is from a stone and turned out to be smart .. Isn't it more sensible that an intelligent being made us all that is why people are intelligent and we differ from each other coz He is that big time intelligent and precise? on education issue... your quest is only earthly and temporary, godly thing matters to us
passangerseat1 8 months ago
@passangerseat1 Well that's religious fundamentalism at it's best..... exclude all rational or questioning thought in favour of belief in something for which there is absolutely no evidence. There is nothing "smart" about believing in bronze age myths, or in a variably translated book of anecdotes. If you want to believe that stuff that's up to you, but Kent Hovind is still a liar which ever way you look at it. He's a preacher not a science teacher.

It contains no original research, the basis on which a PhD is supposed to be awarded.

@ikinmoore: what are u talking about? there's no evidence of evolution, if there is, tell, me, i'd like to know. and actually, we have more proof than u. how do u think that everything in this world came to be? how is it possible that a big bang, or something like that could create every, plant, creature, every living thing, all the DNA in our bodies, all of our organs, EVERYTHING, u know there has to be a CREATOR somewhere, not something by mere chance. read Genesis. it tells us everything.

ilikezappa 10 months ago
In fact, just on youtube alone you'll find several news stories about how statistically (which doesn't mean 100% of the time) atheists have a better understanding and comprehension of the bible than christians. This is because we do the reading. we don't let people like kent hovind tell us what to say in a discussion/debate, we figure it out for ourselves. also, for the record, the excerpts he uses in these seminars are out of context. google the source and youll find out how he twisted it all.
edison1423 11 months ago
Let me try to clear something up here. when an atheist debates anyone of faith (especially a creationist), we are not trying to belittle or insult you. We are trying to tell you to go read, do research, even with a bias towards your faith you will still find no evidence for creationism. none. as someone who was raised and school in christianity, and desperately tried to prove my "sinful atheistic thoughts" wrong, I can tell you, if you educate yourself, and LEARN you will be enlightened.
edison1423 11 months ago
Reminder to all, no one in the Bible that I know of has ever believed the earth was flat. Some people have, but that doesn't disprove the Bible, or destroy God(I don't recall him ever writing it was flat).

It may have, who knows. Maybe it could have come from something even bigger. It is some crazy stuff, maybe a god, probably not. I absolutely cannot say for sure, and neither can you. Moving on?
tsferg 1 year ago
Why do you think there is only speculation? What about all the scientifically proven evidence?
To understand where we have been is to understand where we are going. It gives us a better understanding of genetics, evolution of bacteria and viruses (which is going to be a huge deal in the future, look at mrsa), gives us better stats on current numbers of organisms, helps us in breeding animals, crops have been improved, genomes mapped, given us a better understanding of all aspects of biology..
tsferg 1 year ago
@tsferg Some of the information provided is pragmatic. Yes. I have to agree. But all that could've been done *without* knowledge of the Darwinist concept. You see, those are things that can actually be observed, in real time. Get it? Supposed knowledge of early bipeds has absolutely no bearing on what's going on in Egypt right now, pal. Sorry. Supposedly knowing that every organism, we see today, formed from a single celled organism billions years ago has no relation to the price of grain.
TenderTrap86 1 year ago
@TenderTrap86 "in real time. Get it"Evolution can be witnessed, in a short time even. Look at any number of bacteria and or even fruit flies. Again, look at mrsa.
"Supposed knowledge of early bipeds has absolutely no bearing on what's going on in Egypt right now, pal." I never said it did (the old switcheroo, a common tactic). i noticed your tone has become quite chippy, I don't mean to anger you, I thought a little debate might be fun.
tsferg 1 year ago
@tsferg The bacteria is *still* bacteria. It's just a different kind of bacteria. And I've studied the lauded "observed instance of speciation" in the fruitfly. First of all, the fruitfly remains a fruitfly. And, secondly, most of them couldn't even reproduce, if any. That's evidence for Darwinism?
I' am having fun. :) I'm quite infatuated with my position. I think I'm wise for it. Then again, people who think they're wise are usually aren't. Damn it. Now I have to start all over again. lmao!
TenderTrap86 1 year ago
@TenderTrap86 The bacteria is still a bacteria, but is is different now. You got it. There it is. Easy. That is evolution. The human being does not have to be the end point, it goes off on all directions.
Usually I come across people who are curious of their surroundings. You dismiss the bible as nonsense and you dismiss science as well. Are you not curious as to what happens in the world?
tsferg 1 year ago
@tsferg I understand and recognize that evolution happens, in that it is small. I would never deny that. I'd be a fool. This is observed science. I don't believe that large changes happen, even in small incriments, however. The latter concept is of no use, whatsoever, and I have yet to find any Darwinist proponent to give me one good example of why anybody should concern fill their minds up with knowledge about life billions or million of years ago.
TenderTrap86 1 year ago
@TenderTrap86 To understand genetics, you must understand how things are able to evolve, you must understand how things mutate. You do not need to understand or even accept biogenises. But understanding how life began on this planet will lead to us understanding how it can start on others, or even create it ourselves....
tsferg 1 year ago
@tsferg Mutations can be *observed*. lol
I accept biogenesis. This has been observed. I don't accept abiogenesis, because it's speculative. Even if life is created in a lab, can the elements used to create life be created from nothing?
lol We can already create life. It's called sex.

@TenderTrap86 woops..... abiogenisis. Ha. SCientists are trying, butwill they ever succeed? Who knows..
They gotta start somewhere. ...

@tsferg
5tonyvvvv 1 year ago
@tsferg Do you know how unstable proteins and RNA are??..they break down under amazing conditions in the perfect solutions under the supervision of scientists protecting it,at just the right temperatures....so you really think a protein could survive on a poisonous toxic primordial earth.LOL..
5tonyvvvv 1 year ago
@tsferg Impossible still ...like Fred Hoyle says I feel like some one has monkeyed with physics and chemistry..he was a militant atheist..,you are going against a well established law of biogenesis..louis pasteur..proved it wrong in the time of Darwin..stanley miller proved it impossible because of Homochirality.and with Toxic tar and unusable amino acids .and all we are doing today is copying information like what Venter did..abiogenesis is IMPOSSIBLE..you have Faith it happened!!
5tonyvvvv 1 year ago
@5tonyvvvv wow, that is some genuine bonafide rage against abiogenesis. Did it rape your family or something? Ha! Why are you quoting all these scientists who haven't been relavent for years? I made one small remark about abiogenesis and you jump all over it. Its pretty cool and all but its something I am not too interested in. Will you tell me how you think it happened?
tsferg 1 year ago
@tsferg Those scientists have proven abiogenesis impossible..people ignore this. Intelligence created life.not time and chance.abiogenesis is the dumbest theory ever, and goes against the well established law of biogenesis!
5tonyvvvv 1 year ago
@5tonyvvvv Right now it seems to be the most plausable answer around. Is it impossible? No. Unlikely? Maybe. Manyof the points you made were valid, though you so elloquently stated them like a teenager, complete with feigned lol's. There are a lot of holes there, I'm glad people are trying to understand (or bury) it. What do you think happened?

@5tonyvvvv damn 5tonyvvvv, I just saw your 5 exact same comments posted on another video
I thought it was a pretty strangethat you could write 2500 words in 1 minutes! quit spamming! and talk like a normal person
tsferg 1 year ago
@tsferg absolutely wrong these chains only form because a trained chemist is carefully watching and controlling every step!!..at just the right temperatures..also activated subunits and templates are used with bases..which would never be found on a primordial earth. If you want to simulate your early earth conditions you must do an experiment like what stanley miller did..and over come the problem of chirality..not start with information that already exits
5tonyvvvv 1 year ago
@5tonyvvvv This reply makes no sense, where are you getting these ready made cut and paste replies? What an asshole. Heres a basic question. Which is has a chiral center CH3-C-N2-COOH or CH3-(CH2)-CH2BR? Ill assume you just give a non related cut and paste reply.
tsferg 1 year ago
@tsferg LOL..ok lets see your primitive cell..this chemistry does not work only in your mind Moron!!..todays conditions are much more organic rich for abiogenesis..and it never happens!!
5tonyvvvv 1 year ago
@tsferg RNA research..lol copying information using activated subunits at just the right temperatures ..which would never be found on a there so called primordial earth...If the really want t o simulate the correct experiment .they need conduct one like what Stanley miller did, and get around the major problem of Chirality..its IMPOSSIBLE to separate amino acids do you have any testable repeatable observable evidence for abiogenesis ?..abiogenesis is a Faith!!
5tonyvvvv 1 year ago
@5tonyvvvv Ok, I guess you are just a spam bot.
tsferg 1 year ago
@tsferg Sir, do you have any testable repeatable observable evidence for abiogenesis ?..I dont want to hear ridiculous assumptions..abiogenesis is a Faith!!..it requires faith to believe it..its clearly not science!!
5tonyvvvv 1 year ago
@tsferg to get amino acids to self assemble is impossible..there is no natural process.to make a cell evolve ..it would be easier to build the space shuttle..blindfolded while riding a unicycle. Even with all the Proteins and DNA and RNA ...What would you do with it??..from there you have zero molecular machines, zero assembly instructions...all this stuff would just float away in some primordial soup and break down..and it would be the same thing in a test tube.
5tonyvvvv 1 year ago

@TenderTrap86 What do you think happened?

There are many professor, scientist, PhD's, teachers, doctors, lawyers, etc who are skeptical of the darwinian evolution. Some are outspoken, some are trying to keep their jobs, and some are afraid of alienation.
Creationcreed 1 year ago
@Creationcreed Who are they and how many of them are secular? If you can find me one of them. Who is in a religious person I will be surprised. Also, for every one of these people that you can name, I can name 10 scientists who accept evolution who's first name is Steve. There is that many.
tsferg 1 year ago
@tsferg I am aware of the many scientist who believe evolution, in fact that was what was taught to me for more 20 year(elementary-college). I point was just that there are many who don't believe in evolution that's all. Because people actually think all scientist subscribe to that explanation(humans from a rock).
Creationcreed 1 year ago
@Creationcreed I asked you how many of these scientists are non religious who do not understand evolution? If you can find me one secular scientist who is not religious, I will be shocked. Scientists do not only subscribe to the theory of evolution, but they back it up with evidence. Every time a scientists looks into a little understood bit of the theory and scrutinizes it, the theory gets stronger. Every time someone looks deeper into creationisms, it gets much more feeble and silly.
tsferg 1 year ago
@tsferg You don't have to be a Bible thumper to see evolution is flawed. Religious doesn't equal unintelligent btw and vice versa. Dr. David Berlinski is a non-religious skeptic of evolution. And other intelligent people who are skeptics of darwin dissent free download dissentfromdarwin dot o r g
Creationcreed 1 year ago
@Creationcreed we are talking abiogenesis, not evolution. Do keep up old chap.
tsferg 1 year ago
@Creationcreed Why do they make you download it? Why don't they just post it? Im quite skeptical of Dr David Berlinski being an agnostic. He has been branded a contrarian. He does not support the theory of evolution, but also does not support creationism or gussied up creationism (Intelligent Design). If all he does is criticize without adding anything, can he still be considered a scientist? He has no respect of the scientific community.....
tsferg 1 year ago
@tsferg Evolutionist always brush scientist who don't agree, and even say they aren't real scientist. Theres more than one scientific community. Hopefully you saw the list.
Creationcreed 1 year ago
@Creationcreed He doesn't agree with ID or creationism either. He brings nothing to the table. Let me ask you this......which bit of evidence do you disagree with that supports evolution? I have a list too, it is a list that dwarfs you list of scientists who support evolution. But this list is different, to sign this list, you must be named steve. search "list of steves". But please answer my question.
tsferg 1 year ago
@tsferg You wanted to know so I gave you the list, numbers behind an doctrine doesn't necessarily mean it's true. What started the bang?
Creationcreed 1 year ago
@Creationcreed "What started the bang?" Answer: I dont know what it has to do with evolution but ill answer anyways. The answer is: I don't know. Do you? Now will you answer my question?
tsferg 1 year ago
@tsferg We never see matter create life, we only see life creating life. I know you've heard this before, but it's true. Based on just that observation alone, there has to be a catalyst to create the Big bang if that is what happened. An explosion never happens by itself, whether a slow explosion or fast explosion. If I were to sit a line of 100 dominos on a table, the only way the first domino can fall is if someone bumps into the table, or slight earthquake, a cat jumps on the table.
Creationcreed 1 year ago
@Creationcreed Sure, who knows. Big bang, difficult subject. Also, I think now you are confusing the Big Bang with Abiogenisis. Abiogenisis is not the same as Big Bang not the same as evolution. 3 different things. So now will quit beating around the bush and tell me what you actually think happened?
tsferg 1 year ago
@tsferg We can't even get to the evolution part unless we discuss how the process even got started. Answer that please. That is the problem I have with it.
