@amtrk2051 That would be the sound of the prime movers in one of the idle settings though I forget which it is...High idle maybe? Anyway, that notch setting (which is also my favorite sounding notch) is more of a chugging sound on GE's previous locomtives (Dash 8 and up) while on GEVOs, it is more like that thumping sound you hear in this video.
Your lucky to be that close to those magnificent locomotives. I live near a terminal So I get to touch and climb aboard Norfolk Southern SD38-2's and SD40-2's. I've never been able to get on a GE -Dash 9 yet
It would be fun to play inside the boxes these trains came in. Did they throw away the boxes yet? Holy cardboards baby!
